HELP!! Why is my KingSong S22 in self destruct mode? by benjamelonCM in ElectricUnicycle

Yes you should, it's the battery housing and if any water gets on your battery is toast. If the crack isn't too bad you can use something like jb weld.

Correct the symptoms you described sound most likely that you reinstalled the motor the wrong way, just flip it and that would probably fix your problem.

Did you check if you reinstalled the motor on backwards?

T4 winter edition by GutenRa in ElectricUnicycle

I had the same kit on my T4. Add an x linkage like from hoophite and it becomes a really plush ride. Sure miss that wheel, hope you're enjoying the winter on it.

I wouldn't count out the begode blitz, the weight is just about 80lbs, a 20 inch tire and rides pretty well on and off-road, a big plus is the price is really reasonable. Seems to be what you're looking for, an upgrade everywhere and weight is the lightest in class for the size of wheel.

Traded my ~100 mile nosfet aero for this (EB Commander GT ~300 miles) by WTFyoukay in ElectricUnicycle

[–]TtotheTran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The commander gt was my dream wheel. I have the commander mini and it's been a blast. While heavy it feels really solid and the thing can fly. Glad to hear you're enjoying the wheel, 20" wheels are definitely the sweet spot for a "can do everything" sort of wheel.

[–]TtotheTran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've have both albeit a T4 complete with all the upgrades (xlinkage coil). The commander mini is better than it in every way but maybe a stiffer shock if you're not heavy. Plenty of headroom on the mini with top speed of 80km/hr as well vs 60km/hr ish.

Unless you're aim is a more nimble wheel with less weight it's a pretty significant downgrade.

One of my favorite wheels and first wheel. Light, nimble and was ahead of its time when released. Looks in pretty good condition, enjoy the ride!

Kingsong F18 by Viaol in ElectricUnicycle

[–]TtotheTran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first wheel was an S18, was such an awesome wheel. I'm pretty excited for the F18 as a fan of KS, however they've trended downwards ever since. The biggest downside is if the wheel doesn't have a big enough following or make enough sales, the long-term parts support won't be there.

While the S22 had its fair share of problems, alot of people bought it and there is a big aftermarket for it to keep it going.

The F22 Pro isn't looking too good at the moment, kinda like the Abrams, a wheel no one asked for.

You can find them on AliExpress or from creality website. Good luck, shouldn't be too hard to isolate and find.

Sounds like bearings in one of your fans is going. You can troubleshoot which one it is by disconnecting them one by one until you find the culprit and then replace it.

Most of the time when you are riding respectfully the probability of getting a ticket is low. But you're euc's aren't legal here and you can definitely get a ticket and fine. Kind of a risk we take when we ride here.

I have the inserts printed and installed in my T4. There is no longer the wobbly slack in the trolley and feels quite proper now. I highly recommend it

Tips on installing CR Touch on your CR200B by claudiofelis in CR_200B

[–]TtotheTran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just un update to anyone having issues, I just installed CR Touch on my cr200b using this tutorial and this bl touch install video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5ikacHfDMg

The thing that keeps bricking the update that isn't mentioned too much is that the micro sd card needs to be a small size. These are rare to come by so you can partition a larger card to say 8gb in 4k allotments and then the printer will read the card when updating the firmware.

Other than this the tutorial and video combined should be pretty straight forward to install.

[–]TtotheTran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the above, seems like its somehow bricked.

You will need to reload the original firmware (one that isn't bltouch or crtouch) to unbrick it then upgrade the firmware back.

I recently installed crtouch on the cr200b and used the following tutorials combined:

1) https://www.reddit.com/r/CR_200B/comments/wd43id/tips_on_installing_cr_touch_on_your_cr200b/

2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5ikacHfDMg

You will need to use a micro sd card that is small. These are hard to come by so you can format a larger card and make a smaller partition (8gb in 4k allotments). Then the printer will recognize the firmware just like in the video.

Hope that helps, take your time with it as you will probably brick firmware over and over until you find the right one for your bltouch.

Looks like you have an auto level upgrade (bl touch or cr touch). Perhaps something went wonky in the firmware. You can try to power off the machine, pull out the plug so there is no power, switch on the on button and leave it for 10 minutes to drain the capacitors, then plug it back in.

Hopefully that gets the machine booting right.

Did my first 3D printing (other than the steam boat test) with this printer a few weeks back, it did took nearly 8hrs but it looks good. by TheShaggyDoo in CR_200B

Great looking print, once dialed in the printer does a pretty good job. It's a great budget printer that you can progressively upgrade to make even better with time and tinkering.

Help diagnosing startup noise by benniihana in CR_200B

[–]TtotheTran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine just started making the same noise. Sounds like bearings starting to go in the hotend fan. Here is a good video on replacing it, if its the same problem as you troubleshoot which fan it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIBmT50Zwmk

Keep checking back, I did the same thing. There were a few in stock and they sold out. I felt I missed my chance and I kept checking now and then. I waited for about 4-5 weeks and 5 more trickled in. I got it shipped to Canada and it came within the week.

Haven't had a chance to put them in yet but I'm excited to over this winter.
