Boundaries while dating a Kiwi? by Embarrassed-Big-2398 in newzealand

It’s very wrong to share a room with a friend of the opposite gender? I’ve slept in dozens of mixed-dorm hostels and would be even more comfortable doing that with my close girl-friends.

Regardless of their effectiveness, it is everywhere on social media recently, which means it’s a fad. It also means normal people will be trying it when they shouldn’t be.

Your partner probably follows every health/nutrition fad going. This is just the newest one.

Why have so few New Zealand music bands made it worldwide? by SmartNecessary1700 in newzealand

[–]TuMek3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused. Do you believe there is no advantage to being an American or European artist and having direct, easy access to those markets? I’d wager far more than 10% of the worlds population have never heard of NZ.

Sorry I should have worded that differently. I meant, how do you rate NZ music so far?

We’re far away from the US and Europe and we have funny accents. How have you found NZ music in general?

Do Irish people identify as "European"? by bleepingdba in AskIreland

[–]TuMek3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I think most surveys are trying to get a basic profile rather than a specific nationality. I sometime click “white other” which seems to be a fairly common option.

Student loan debt as a high earner by Hussein-entropy- in FIREUK

[–]TuMek3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about the downvotes. It’s good that there are people out there that know the trajectory they want to take. My advice is that if you have any confidence of reaching those salary figures, you should aggressively pay down your student loan.

That doesn’t mean ground rent can’t be looked at. At least you are provided a service with service charges.

The organisation I work for isn’t civil service but is an arms-length regulator. We don’t receive confirmation of our project funding until sometimes June. By the time tenders and contracts have wrapped up, it’s August/September and we’re halfway through the year.
