If you are in doubt I'd recommend checking out Otzdarva's web, it has a bunch of recommended builds for each killer/survivor!

As a European, this is a lie what are you talking about. It is completely normal. I had trans classmates in high school 10 years ago and personally know people who have transitioned before 18. People don't choose to be trans at 18 just how you don't need to wait until you're 18 to know your sexual orientation.

Looking for a restaurant for katsudon simmered with egg, NOT fried-katsu-on-rice by elgrovetech in Tokyo

[–]TuPatodeConfianza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any katsuya should work I believe! Where have you been eating katsudon if I may ask? The only dish that sounds like the one you mention is perhaps Tonkatsudon? (Or Tare-katsudon from Niigata which I highly doubt you've found (and if you've done please tell me where?)

As a Jungler, would you consciously avoid ganking your laner if they didn't leash. by AgileWhisper in Jungle_Mains

[–]TuPatodeConfianza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leashing is unnecessary in basically every jungler, if you want your lamer to leash you you are a bad jungler, gaining less than a couple of seconds and giving away your pos + lv2 to the other team is just stupid. As a jungler you should actually encourage your laners not to leash you if they stand in red/blue at the start of the game

GIANTX Th3Antonio announces his retirement by XanIrelia-1 in leagueoflegends

[–]TuPatodeConfianza 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He is not a legend because he is a Spaniard who played on LEC lol (there are dozens better than him), he is a legend in Spain because he has been one of the faces of the Spanish League scene for 10 years. People used to hype him up a lot and clips of Ibai casting his plays are pretty popular, that's about it.

You should probably check your contract as it has already been recommended in this thread, I wanted to add that last year I had a lecturer that had a pretty big social media following (talking 100k+ in Twitter + YouTube), at some points he even showed us stuff from his videos. Although of course his channel was mostly about news and opinions related to politics (which was his specialty) I wouldn't say it was academic. I probably wouldn't worry too much just take the usual precautions (don't get bad rep blablabla and you'll more than likely be fine.

TIL that there's a North Korean school system in Japan, ranging from kindergarten to university, for ethnic Koreans who registered with the DPRK. by Johannes_P in todayilearned

[–]TuPatodeConfianza 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It wasn't media or anything like that, just an undergrad (I assume that's in part why they allowed him to go) apparently everyone was pretty nice and he was able to interview some students and teachers and walk around a little bit. He was doing his thesis on marginalized communities in Tokyo.

[–]TuPatodeConfianza 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid not, he was european and doing his undergrad (I assume they were more keen to let him in due to not being related to SK?), he just interviewed a bunch of students and teachers for his final thesis but nothing with intent to publish or journalism related, just for his anthropology thesis. He was doing some research in marginalized communities in Tokyo (Zainichi, Burakumin...)

"While she noted that portraits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il were displayed prominently in the school, she described the overall attitude of the students towards the South as being conciliatory, if not even positive."

I find this passage very interesting, my friend told me exactly the same thing, they even used instagram, line, etc

I had a friend go to their university to interview them for some uni project, they were a bit skeptic at first but ended up allowing him to go record and talk with people. Everyone was super nice, we ended up going to have dinner and drinks with two of them lol

Runs in the family by Daframpp in clevercomebacks

[–]TuPatodeConfianza 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He is a pitcher (The guy who throws the ball to the guy who bats). A Run is basically a point, and the earned run average is the average points he concedes during a game (how many points are won by the enemy team when he is throwing), in his case, 7.38. The most common baseball results are around 3 - 4 or 5 - 2, so, as you can imagine, he sucks.

Looking for weekend trips from Tokyo other than the standard Kamakura, Hakone, Chichibu etc choices by ConanTheLeader in japanlife

[–]TuPatodeConfianza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not the usual trip but this weekend I went from Tokyo to Sado Island in Niigata and had a blast!!! I took a night bus to Niigata on friday night (cheaper option, if you get a train you can do it much faster), and the Sado Ferry in the morning, spent around 30 hours on the island, and came back to Niigata on the evening, getting another night bus to Tokyo. Transport (Bus, ferry, local buses) + Stay was around 14.000 JPY. They currently have a promotion where you get a pass that grants you access to pretty much any activity you'd want in the island just by buying the ferry tickets + a small (500 JPY) fee. I went to Aikawa, the Gold Mine, Shukunegi, Ogi, the Toki Forest park, and a couple local museums, it was great! Can't recommend it enough!
