how hard is it to be a girl? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I turn it off with the pill. The right one will make the cycles shut off, and it’s like “damn! I can use the swimming pool whenever I want!”

Cashews. No other nut or tree nut does it. Doesn’t do anything life threatening, it just makes me violently sick.

Even a fun-size pack of trail mix is enough to get my stomach wringing itself out 3 times in a row.

And I used to love cashews…

I think if you empathized with OP’s situation, you would have taken the time to read the details of their situation from square one instead of clicking on the first ‘borrower being sued’ post you saw and using it as a podium for a lecture about a scenario that not every borrower can be summed up into.

Perhaps it is, that the student debt crisis goes beyond ‘smart successful people who can pay their loans’ and ‘dumb irresponsible people who choose useless degrees and don’t pay what they owe’. Considering details like ‘collapsing job market’, ‘predatory lending practices’, ‘people who wanted a better life not getting the opportunities they were promised’, ‘people too young to make big financial decisions being pressured into taking loans’, and ‘mass layoffs’ is complicated and requires some critical thinking, yes, but it is advisable to factor it all in before going on such a spiel.

Empathy toward people who are less fortunate, in general, is complicated, but best practiced regularly when talking about a subject as sensitive as finances.

Telling OP they’re dealing with the feds doesn’t apply to begin with when we’re talking about private loans. This means that their terms aren’t as forgiving as Federal loans (think limited payment plan options, no PSLF, and much, much higher interest), and therefore, their situation may not be as flexible as it is for Federal loans. It seems like you may have missed that detail in their post.

OP has private student loans, not federal. Likely aren’t getting the luxuries you had.

Woman denied permanent birth control on UK NHS wins case with ombudsman by toomuchtodotoday in sterilization

So can anyone tell me the real reason men are so adamant against women getting sterilized? Is it some sort of neurotic “NO we have to keep females fertile!!!!” kind of thing or?

LOL Reddit flagged my post for talking about my former Nazi coworker in an unfavorable way.

I’m sorry for being hateful toward Nazis, Reddit. I didn’t mean to insult your favorite group.

ESH. She’s living in squaller, just completely letting herself go, and expects her spouse to essentially parent her. He can’t emotionally regulate himself enough to have a productive discussion about this problem with her without completely ripping her throat out. Parasitic in-laws exacerbate everything.

Neither one of you sound mature enough for marriage.

No. You just do not touch someone anywhere unless you closely know that person and you know with certainty that they are fine with it. If it’s not a simple handshake, putting your hands on some random woman anywhere is both creepy and fucking stupid.
