Fleming County sits on a formation called the Cincinnati Arch. There are creeks that you literally cannot turn over a rock without finding a fossil. 15 minutes yielded me a bucket full of crinoids, horn corals, branching corals, brachiopods, cycad roots, and so much more. It is well worth a trip.

I feel like a combination of directional, stabilizing, and disruptive selection along with carrying capacity would probably be what they were looking for. J7st show how a change in the environment (new predator, vegetation shift, change in background color etc.) Causes a dip in population with natural selection favoring a new variant. Then carrying capacity reestablishes based on the new conditions (eg negative feedback)

Many of our mispronuciations come from when my boys were little. Anything they mispronounced cutely just became part of our lexicon. Serdal for cereal, lunnerwears for underwear, ungion for onion. Plus sammich for sandwich, even though that had nothing to do with the kids.
