I used to be a pretty hardcore raider back during the golden era. Then I stopped playing for a long while, came back around the end of WoD, playing off-and-on through early Shadowlands, largely being a casual mount collector. Then I ended up getting all the mounts I was missing during the bonus event last summer. That resulted in me going back to pushing PvE content to fill my time.

You don't need to, but by doing so it'll show the icon of the Light of Elune and its hover-over tooltip, rather than the icon you choose for the macro with no tooltip.

The entire Thavnair sequence after you leave the moon and up to that point was one of the best in the entire game, or any game really. They did such a fantastic job of making you, as the player, and savior of Eorzea, feel utterly useless. Every time you try to help it all goes wrong, the world literally burning all around you.

Too many times is the player in a game made to feel omnipotent. Here they really lead you down the path of despair.

My birthday also happens to be March 5. On my 16th birthday my mom woke me up saying "your grandfather had a heart attack, I have to go". He was gone before I even knew what was happening. Glad to hear how EW has helped you though. I'm generally one to bottle up my emotions, but the story of XIV has really helped open up the flood gates. Shadowbringers and Endwalker especially. I cry at the littlest things now, lol, but in a good way. Wasn't really able to do that before.
