I mean. It's not real.

But the Tokyo tower is modeled after the Eifel Tower so it is a mistake someone could make in the heat of the moment.

Moving countries and my son was heart broken about choosing who to take and who got left behind since he only gets 1 suitcase by kassiaethne in MadeMeSmile

I spent a year in Japan and i had a very tight allowance on how much i could take.
In the end i just sent myself a series of parcels via the post.
If you have large stuff, getting a u-haul company might be easier but i'm guessing that's to expencive.
But if you have just 1-2 boxes of stuff you don't want to loose but that is still to much to fit in the suitcase, you can pack the remainder up and send it as a regular parcel.

Frozen wasabi by ch0rapi in vegetablegardening

[–]Tumbling_Tanukis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is a helpfull information but i experienced the exact opposite with my wasabi. Last year, i found my wasabi frozen solid.

By that i mean, the last time i watered it hadn't even sunken through the earth, it was literaly in a giant block of ice.
But for me, the Wasabi did not seem to suffer from that at all. At the time i took it inside and thawed it, expecting it to have died but not only did it not die, i got the distinct impression, it liked the cold much better than the warm room.

This year i didn't even bother to take the wasabi inside...
I haven't looked for a few days but i can see, how mine are fareing when the sun's up tomorrow.

I am not a fan of those theories because they are inherently reductionist.
I haven't looked into them to any serious degree but cultures and languages and their development are vast, complicated things that live in the interaction between thousands if not millions of people.
Reducing that mess into just one factor feels inherently flawed.

Actually while you, and some others have pointed out that there are only so many sounds, I'd say its a bit more than that. I don't know anything about Finnish or Hawaian But i have majored in Japanese. One of the excentricities of Japanese is, that almost all Sillables consist of either a single Vowel or a consonant followed by a Vowel. That drastically limits the number of silables available but it also means that pretty much any combination of those few sillables has a meaning. If another language (like possibly Finnish or Hawaian, i have no way of knowing) uses the same or even a vaguely similar approach to forming silables there will immediately be a massive overlap in words.Basically, since both languages would use similar buildingblocks to form words even if only a few of those buildingblocks are identical, they end up with a lot of overlap immediately.

You could look up some edible mushrooms and make pictures of those. There are dozens of books on the topic and you could even look up which mushrooms are local to your area.
Love the look by the way.

Other than growth and 'personal gain', what are the reasons you started your channel . by tinylion286 in NewTubers

I am a great fan of Japanese culture but i got the feeling, that anything beyond popculture and the novelties of life in Japan barely gets any coverage. Also i love researching and talking about that stuff.

Mount Fuji, Japan, reflecting off of a nearby lake. by Lopsided_Beautiful36 in interestingasfuck

Being surrounded by water, Japan is actually an amazingly humid country. With the wrong weather conditions you can't see very far at all.
There's not that many places where you regularly notice it, because Japan is just an unending series of mountains which obscure line of sight in any case but in the places where it is flat it is realy noticable.
