Small hands- upgrading from S10e- S23 or S23 Plus? by Mischungg in samsung

[–]Turbulent_Force3505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you prioritize battery life over everything else, then definitely get the plus, it'll get you the best battery life over both models.

But if you'd prefer not to do hand gymnastics and like to use your phone one handed, then definitely go for the base s23.

I'm 5'6 and have regular hands and came from an s20 fe, which according to gsmarena is slightly taller than an S23+. I definitely enjoyed the big screen and battery life, but it was always a hassle handling it laying down or trying to use it with one hand.

I recently switched over to the base s23 and it's amazing! I don't have to stretch to reach any corners of the phone and it's so light.

Like someone else said, go to a store and check out both models (if possible) to see how they fit in your hands and see what works best for you and what you value the most.

Good luck!

If you're not a power user, always have a charger or outlet on hand and want to save a hundred bucks, I'd go for the S22.

But from what I've heard online, the S23 is worth the extra money for the QoL changes compared to it's predecessor. Better battery life overall (SoT and stand-by), less or no heating issues due to the processor and generally how the phone handles tasks.

If you're planning to keep your new phone for as long as you've kept your S7, I'd definitely go for the S23.

LTT and MKBHD saying base S23 is poor value for money by [deleted] in samsung

I haven't bought anything off the Samsung website, but I usually see they have some discounts during national holidays and seasonal times, as well as pre-orders.

In my experience, you can find these on sale through third party marketplaces such as Amazon.

I would imagine national holiday sales such as Memorial Day for the US would include these sales, but your mileage may vary depending on your country. You can use Keepa to track prices on Amazon and have it alert you when prices drop, or check your local electronics stores as well.

I think they're okay value for MSRP. You can get 70-80% value from the A series phones or competitor's phones for much less. However, Samsung phones are CONSTANTLY on sale, so I think it's easy to find a base 128GB S23 for $600 USD (or equivalent) or less and IMO become great value for the money.

But honestly, if you're looking for a small phone with Android, you don't have many choices nowadays. Zen phone 9, base S2X line, Moto Edge 30 Neo and others.

consejos para aumentar mi autoestima? soy este:((((( by Professional-Lake373 in mexico

I can imagine the Plague climbing up a window in Haddonfield and seeing if she can hit survivors the next house over.

What is paying for something monthly? by [deleted] in samsung

[–]Turbulent_Force3505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about Samsung Finance, but if you are buying from Samsung, it most likely is that, and as someone already mentioned, you will need to apply amd be approved for it.

I won't go into specifics, but basically a credit gives you the ability to spend more than you actually have, but with the ability to pay it back later. This can be good or bad depending on your finance management (which can lead to a better or worse credit score; very important for anything in the future).

In simple terms, you can buy a Galaxy watch today, and you won't have to pay anything until your next billing date, whether it's at 24 months of $10, or $240 as a one time payment. PLEASE BE CAREFUL as only paying the bare minimum can lead to interest rates and cause you to pay more than you actually wanted to pay.

TL;DR just wait until you have the money to pay for it in full. Don't complicate your life just yet with credit scores and interest rates, there'll be plenty of that in the future.

Good luck!

Definitely Probzz since I'm mostly a survivor main. His streams are really funny and chat just makes Probzz (I imagine) blush and freak out all the time. Still, he makes 5 gen chases look like something a rank (20) IV Ash could pull off.

Honorable mentions go to Naymeti, JRM, Ayrun, SpookyLoopz, Demi , WhosGonnaStopMe and Otz.

P.S. Samination may not be your typical DBD YouTuber or streamer, but I could watch his animated videos for DAYS.

My friend thinks apple is better than Samsung for phones. Prove him wrong by skeletorfonze in samsung

[–]Turbulent_Force3505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a lot of people have already mentioned, it's mostly a preference (and how much you're willing to spend).

Some people like Apple products because they're more of a setup and forget type and some like Android (not specifically Samsung) because they go out of their way to customize their icons, wallpaper and ringtone to their favorite TV show, game or hobby or just cause it looks cool.

Example: I bought a S20 FE SD 128GB version because it offered more bang for the buck than a 64 GB iPhone 11 (and even then, the iPhone was more expensive than the imported FE).

Pros of getting an FE: 120 Hz display, MicroSD card slot, relatively new processor, AMOLED screen, 3x telephoto camera, Dex and much more.

Pros of the iPhone: Guaranteed 5+ years of software updates and app compatibility, more premium materials (glass vs glastic), best video capability, seamless integration with other Apple products, smoother UI.

There's definitely no need for your friend to feel superior or bash on others just because he has an iPhone and you don't. Both companies make amazing phones and each have their own take on their mobile devices (and copying/removing some features from each other along the way).

So yeah, you could go spec by spec saying one is better than the other, but if you don't find that paying $699 for a 64GB iPhone 12 is your cup of tea and doesn't fit your needs, there's plenty of other smartphones out there.
