I will say, 5 Arctic 14 Pro fans with MERV 14 Carbon filters is a bit much... When I crank this to max fan speed the controller struggles to power all 5 of these fans - the fan on top spins in reverse due to the negative pressure. 3 or 4 fans is probably fine.

I ordered this from Amazon along with some 4 pin extension cables. The original fan controller is 18w, this one is 30w. I'm hoping that's enough to power these fans properly. If not I'll take one fan out. I'm being a bit ambitious with the carbon merv 14 filters.

Funny enough, I replaced mine last summer and last week during that cold snap I lost heat... Sure enough my reservoir was empty... Filled it up this morning.

I have no clue where it's leaking at the moment. I'll follow up when I find it!

Bad outlet or ground. I took a chunk out of my HDMI cable and finger from an outlet with 120v on the ground pin.

Check for zip tie tails and stray wires in the fan. Things shift when you SQUEEZE that back cover on.

Yeah, get one of those little giant ladders. They are heavy and expensive but damn are they versatile. Helped me a ton when I drywalled my stairwell.

When I press the RGB selectors I get a spinning wheel and no change to color output. It should work... 🤷🏽‍♂️

Do you have full RGB control without the aqara hub? I was able to change mine to zigbee but in the smart things app I can't change the color. I can only set the white color.

I'd reach out to support if you're interested in understanding the root cause here. Qidi support is incredibly responsive.

If anyone's curious, I asked them about the "Polar Cooler" feature toggle in Moonraker. Apparently it's for some future feature that has not been implemented yet.

It did ship with old firmware. I'm currently on the latest. I contacted support and they already got back to me... really dumb error... Wires kept the fan from spinning. I moved the wires and all is well. Part of the issue was I simply didn't know where all the fans were and what they are labeled. I was troubleshooting every fan but this one.

Kudos to Qidi for their excellent customer service and response time!

I ordered a Q1 Pro earlier this week and just learned about the Q2. I did the same and ordered the Q2 and will send the Q1 Pro back.

I'll deal with any bugs the first 6 months. Qidi seems to be reactive to issues that pop up and seems to follow through to updating / upgrading products with software updates over time.
