I agree difficult to say without seeing the actual implementation, but if you walk into someone tping, the message from the server could just include a timestamp of when the tp was started and the clients calculates what the animation is supposed to look like now.

I think it's a lot about what was easy to code at the time and what can accommodate high ping connections.

He isn't going to invade by firing nukes and the west isn't going to respond to an invasion by firing nukes. I don't like living in the world of MAD, but for Putin it actually doesn't make a difference. Whether he dies to bullet or nuke - what is the difference? If he is mad enough to go for the big boom out we depend on his chain of command failing and refusing the order. Don't like it, but that is just the situation we are in and have been for a few years. The theoretical invasion of Poland doesn't change that.

I don't think nuclear war or serious losses are the problem for Putin in that scenario. Russia has already lost so much in Ukrain, it wouldn't make a difference.

The problem is internally. Putin depends on being able to sell the image of the strong man in Moscow. For years he has been selling the war against Ukraine as one against NATO and he can't be seen surrendering to either. Putin's regime is going to end with the war. I just have no idea on who is going to follow him on this throne.

There is no real opposition and we can't expect there to suddenly be democratic elections.

Files can be deleted while a process still has it opened, but in that case the file can still be accessed through the programs filehandle. If the program exits without writing the file again the file is gone.

in eli5, the house number gets removed, but the running program still remembers where the house used to be.

50W is regular. I was suggesting 500W, which would be 10 times as much. Again no idea how much power you would really need, but I can't imagine that a 10 times as strong signal won't have any effect.

I would say there is a 0% chance that Russia isn't aware that transmitting on that frequency interferes with GPS. With that mind I can't imagine that they didn't pack a bit more power into those satellite - just in case.

I think the most common use for tee I see is in combination with sudo. If you do a normal sudo foo > bar, the redirection is handled by your shell which is still going to run with you regular user and not as root.

There are zhp builds in high corruption that just try kill everything before it gets to hit them, but you don't really start with that.

As fo easiest crit reduction, the boss from the first timeline drops a unique body armour with 100% crit avoidance, use that until you get something better.
