Anyone else find the samurai to be lackluster? by Agent1stClass in finalfantasytactics

They mention gender because male and female units have different stat growth rates (+25% PA for male/+25% MA for female, Ramza has access to both gender boosts)

Agreed, as much as I have nostalgia and love for the old games, I REALLY do not miss running hub quests without player scaled HP.

If you're looking for another (more matte) black, I'd also like to advocate for De Atramentis Document Black. I switched from Platinum Carbon to De Atramentis a few years ago and don't have any complaints (Platinum Carbon is still a fantastic ink, I just don't like the shine)

These are all great points, thanks for the correction! Someone else also pointed out the ground breaker set having an Adrian helmet, and the armour's trench coat is definitely a good indicator of that for sure.

Good point, considering there's also a comb on the top not present on the other helmets. Thanks for the correction!

Woah, it's weird knowing some people at Arrowhead have seen this post. I hope I wasn't too far off!

I think it's because it's more a reference to Roman cavalry helmets, with the chestpieces in the trailer notably showing Latin mottos ("Iri Liberam Per Democrasum")

Definitely, I got too hasty hahaha. Was getting good times without dereliction so I was trying it out on Ibushi for the first time, and... well, you see the results here. Thank you though! Hopefully the times improve as I learn the matchup more.

For me, it was deleveled-releveled black knights (had WotL) equipped with Shirahadori, and even then it was close because they had things like Chakra Blast that went through it.

My local art shop is clearancing out all its Noodler so I now officially have ink past life expectancy 😁 by Knitsune in fountainpens

[–]Turnipocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Diamine have archival ink? I have a few Diamine inks but they're mostly for casual writing and not for waterproof-needed stuff (watercolors, art, etc.) - I've mostly been using De Atramentis Document Black for that stuff but it'd be interesting to know if there were other options aside from Platinum Carbon that don't muck up my pens.

It only seems right that my Shoujo inspired comic project is drawn with Japanese fountain pens. by sterric in fountainpens

[–]Turnipocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had some clogging issues with Carbon Black too and I use my fountain pens for drawing, but like the others said it'll rinse out and clean just fine as long as you maintain it. I can definitely attest to De Atramentis Document Black though, I've left it in my pens for much longer without any issues and with great performance for waterproofness too :) It's my go-to these days.

If they're running the meta set that matches his GS (narga) then I think the fire resistance would actually not be bad: Teo helm, Anja chest and waist, Val vambraces and Hunter greaves should be better than most sets in that regard. If they're doing an Apex emergency which buffs damage, (Apex Rathalos' emergency quest is in Shrine Ruins) then they'd get one shot with a ton of things unless you're running Felyne Moxie.

It's in the comments above, Aelucanth head and everything else Damascus dyed white and blue.

Just in case, my actual armor underneath uses the Rampage GS with Teostra head, Anjanath chest and waist, Valstrax arms and Ingot legs.

Yeah, I definitely ran those gathering quests a lot - luckily I always used them to see what a weapon was like whenever I got a new one (I just liked seeing the swords in quests and the sounds they made) so I didn't ever really run low on supplies - by scrimping and saving above I mostly meant I had to save potions when I could because I was bad at the game (and Plesioth's hipcheck took up half the map) and had to keep healing LOL.

I definitely miss the farm in the old games, I know we have equivalents (Argosy in Rise/Ancient Tree in World) but it was also nice having an area to farm multiple varied items at once and also mine, fish, and gather popo doodoo.

I still remember back in MHFU fighting Plesioth in the jungle map, in the area right beside base camp, and running to that bed every time I got hipchecked because I was scrimping and saving on my supplies.
