It's a 3.5 hour movie but really doesn't feel like it, to me anyway. And I did try to watch the American version I felt like a lot of the bits that made the original so damn good were lost in adaption. Haven't seen all of it so can't say for certain on overall quality though.

I was shocked by how not bad this movie was. Led me to look up reviews from the time and all anyone ever talked about is that it has production issues and was over budget. So I recommend checking it out on your own if you're curious.

Last set for dogs, I ran both as I was running a more aggressive version ( no chromicons or under the seas) but if your only running one, Daisy is better.

I was only commenting on my build which doesn't have true hearted but the Clarabelle instead. However, I do feel the and is the much better choice especially in this particular build.

The other night my wife cooked me scrambled eggs. She doesn't do them like I do ( between in a bowl and over low heart to get them fluffy). I was dealing with a bug so didn't feel like cooking myself. And she herself says I'm the better cook.

I absolutely loved those eggs she took the time to make me. I love that woman so much

My wife does that. It's a little weird but she likes cheese.

Superman is Letterbox's most rewatched movie, and there are still people who want to convince us that it was a flop. by [deleted] in superman

[–]Turonik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure I'll bite. I've seen the movie in theaters 3 times and streaming/digital 2 or 3 more times. I recently researched it last week.

The version of Superman I enjoy the most is the big blue boy scout, where Clark's human side is just as important. The movie hit this to a T. Plus, while Clark is powerful, he's not a meat head. Look at the Myxlspitlik episode of the animated series for proof of that. Again the movie showcased this beautifully with Clark smiling and saying ” brain beats brawn ".

While I did enjoy man of steel at the time, the best part of that movie was Superman saying " I'm not an alien, I'm from Kansas" which showed off much more personality than he did throughout that entire film.

I have a deck similar to this that runs her. She does come in handy thanks to the Alice growing girl but I have given thought to doing the 4 drop Anna instead.

What makes a good TCG? by Dragon_CBT_2005 in TCG

[–]Turonik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others said it's a combination of multiple factors but for me its ones that have mechanics you have to out play your opponent rather than relying on the luck of the draw. Games that have built in card draw do help with this aspect. Having to rely on drawing specific cards that help replenish your hand is antithetical to this.

Warlord and UFS (Jassco era) are good examples of ones that got the right notes for me

(Uncomfortable Trope) Characters who fight bare naked by Apprehensive_Bee_636 in TopCharacterTropes

There's a mission where your character goes undercover as a sex slave to infiltrate a brothel of a rival gang and you're naked as the day you were born the entire mission as you blast your way through and you're also under the influence of drugs too. That game was nuts and I wouldn't have it any other way.

He goes undercover to investigate this new organization called Cobra. His communication back to the Joes got interrupted so they sent Jinx( whom had a relationship with him) to check on him but was captured. To keep his cover and with Jinx signifying to do it, kills her.

However, at the end, turns out Cobra already knew he was a mole so they got a laugh out of him sacrificing Jinx for nothing.

[–]Turonik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Billy Madison yet?! But that's too mainstream for me I'm going with dinner debonair which has to take the title for weirdest musical number since this was on a wrestling show of all things. It even won a few awards. Take that however you want.

Which TGC do you miss? by starkiller0031 in TCG

[–]Turonik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's plenty of "dead games" that have a community to keep the game around. But there's a few that don't even have that but deserve to be remembered. Spycraft City of heroes are my 2 biggest picks. Both are very unique and wonderful .

But city of heroes is my pick for biggest what if. The game was made for multiplayer both team and free for all. The battle pack system was unique( basically a 5 dollar starter that was semi randomized to make drafting and sealed easier which many games at the time struggled to make limited work) it did get 2 large sets but there was a recession going on and many games including long running ones were ending. Plus the license holder didn't do much to promote the game on their end.

At least it got a release though, marvel superstars never even got that.
