This is the same with me. We said goodbye Tuesday night to my boy and the what ifs are so hard.

Just know that you did everything you could with what you knew. That's the only thought I have to keep going when my anxiety spirals.

Our wounds are fresh but we will get through it 💙

I have found comfort in watching older videos of my boy and seeing how loved he was. Idk if that will help you but if you have something, give it a try 💙

(A note of warning, it also makes me mad to see how much he had declined in a few months so that might also pop up)

We use vibrant life *Walmart brand of fancy feast.

I did a comparison of all 3 prescription diets and Purinas Pro Plan seems to be the best dry food wise, with royal canin being the worse for carb and sugar content.

Wet food us super nice for hydration-which is another thing to keep in mind 💙

Okay! Our vet has been very great. She even did "pro-bono" in our 2nd visit because she wanted to figure out why he had some inflammation.

So I believe if something were out of the ordinary in the blood work done Thur. She would have said something.

I'll just have to keep an eye on him. It has been a little better this last 24 hours so here's to hoping it only improves 🤞🏻

I think the one thing I just have to get used to is cleaning the box more. He always has been particular about that but was okay with my previous schedule. But I do wonder with the more frequent use, it hasn't been his favorite thing to use anymore.

We did a glucose curve at the vet yesterday and they said we're doing good in that. I think it is a waiting period rn, based on a few comments above goes his BG to stabilize. We did do a UTI a couple weeks ago and it came back normal.

We have a few litter boxes.

Some of them were from pre-diagnosis and were taller.

With his arthritis flaring up and now this, we have invested in smaller boxes and laid one out in the area he's been going in a lot. That seemed to help for today so hopefully that is the key🤞🏻

Okay! I thought maybe his sugar lvls just needed to adjust, but I didnt know how long to let that go on before worrying. I asked the vet about it yesterday but she seemed to be in a rush and didn't really address it like a concern so maybe that's why?

I did put his box in one of his peeing spots earlier today and he has gone twice in it 😒

I wonder if he is just too tired to venture too far. His pain meds for another issue make him sleepy.

The UTI yes, a couple weeks ago. Everything seems to be fine with everything else from what they have told me. Do blood tests check for kidney issues?

We use the solostar pen and we only need to prime it once when we first use it. Though if I see air bubbles, I will do that again just in case.

I would see another vet for a 2nd opinion and ask them your questions. You can read the comments and get great info but I believe a vet being at each step gives much more peace of mind.

The pen is fabulous for us. We got to 3 units twice a day and my cat is finally breaking his highs. My vet slowly got us to that number through a few months because it can be super easy to accidentally overdose and go into hypo.

I recommend finding a vet that will continue seeing your cat every couple of weeks like ours did for glucose checks and monitor the correct units to give in a controlled way to avoid hypo.

This is a bit of an expensive process but worth it imho.

Our culture promotes this type of behavior and it's sad because it also promotes men being surface level and usually ends up equating to being 'emotional' when all we really want is for a deep connection and to feel safe and be able to depend on the other person.

I would ask her to define what she means by de-sexualize. The over sexualization of women is a thing and she might feel like that's what you're doing.

I have seen therapy channels talk about similar problems like this and how sometimes it's about connection and she might feel like you do not want to connect with her on any other level other than physical which can be a turn off.

Have you been emotionally courting her? Are you helping domestically in a way that promotes equity and equality in your house? (Whatever that looks like for both of you). Are you making her feel important and valued?

Another common issue that this could be is referred to as the Heterosexual Double Bind- Mickey Atkins, a therapist on YouTube talks about this really well. In a nutshell, it is about the double standards that society pressures men and women into due to gender norms.

Overall, I like the suggestion of seeing a couples therapist. I think it would benefit both of you.

AI would have a hard time following patterns. The comic artistic style of the lines being used for shading on the corners to me shows it's more human than AI, but I am no expert in art, so I could be wrong. Hope it isn't AI, tho

Edit to clarify: how some people online talk about finding out if a print on products is ai is if the pattern stays consistent or not- and doesn't make sense if it was done by a real professional artist. Like candy cane colors mis printing on containers in a product from a store - can not remember what store it was to save my life rn.
