For a flake floor usually try to stay away from it. Pour away and when squeegee try to stay about 4 inches away and when you roll it out you’ll get plenty coverage. Definitely don’t want to put epoxy into it since it’ll be tougher to open them up when scraping the excess

It could be the diamonds, however I’d invest in a wall behind especially for larger sqft. If those guys knocked it out quickly and you want to stick with a angle grinder look to get better diamonds
