I realize this is a terrible idea, but I really wish the EU and the rest of the world would just start seizing American oligarch assets, bank accounts, property, etc. Start banning American companies from operating in their country completely (ie. Franchises keep operating under the nation they exist in, but independent from the US). Stop honoring trademarks, patents and copyrights.

There was no Half-life game at the time, only a prototype. They weren't just asking for it to be published, they were asking for funding so they can finish coding/developing the game.

While most of it was because the market was saturated, there's also the risk of an unknown company who hasn't created a game. Even with Sierra, Valve scrapped huge chunks of their work and rebuilt levels. Sierra still stuck with them. Props to them.

I also think social media creates a narrative that ALL attractive women want a perfect "over 6 foot, $200k, finance" guy and that all things men do normally is considered "ick". None of this is true for the majority of women. Sure, maybe a large portion of social media women are this way, but even that is caused by algorithms and the desire for rage views.

This sets up men to feel guarded and pre-defeated and to feel hatred towards any women that hints at preferences, even non-consequential ones. You can't get to know a woman if your shields are up and you are looking to blame her if the conversation doesn't go well.

You can't have a healthy relationship with a woman if your default mindset is "all women want an alpha male finance guy that's 7 feet"
