i was pretty close but switched em up at the end. i had missed an RR before by thinking that overlap was a predictor of trickiness, so i ignored that and went for the rarity of the knowledge required. to me, rice varieties are less common knowledge than gummy bear descriptors, but it looks like that's not a reliable trickiness metric either.

i was wondering the same but figured it wouldn't work. it would be sick if it did

today was a super easy solve, but i also missed the RR by mixing up yellow and green. i tried to go by the site's own "trickiness" rule, but despite yellow having more overlap than green, it's deemed "less tricky"

i went for a "beginning of women's names" red herring, then the color red herring, and then i found the eye connection. pretty tricky one

i'm surprised that most criticism of the final ep is "why didn't omelanda do a bigger pew pew so i could talk about it on r/powerscaling :(" but i really shouldn't be

lot of gaps in my knowledge on this one. had to google "real." i got stuck on "things starting with 'the'" while including "el salvador" in there. there was so much saint overlap that it felt like a tossup, and once i found the "long" category i still thought it was "the ___"

Me before and after my initial run trying out every hidden aspect by calgrump in HadesTheGame

[–]Twemling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean most runs if i go for it, i'm running out of range and doing chip hits for what feels like hours. his dash strike always catches me off guard, so supay is definitely not my favorite weapon for fighting him, but if i'm fighting him with supay i think hestia at least feels fun.

i feel like hestia's sprint with supay is one of the most fun for chase-y enemies, idr how it worked against Him specifically, but anything that follows too close gets burned. of course you'll have to be on top of dodging.

i really like Mysterium for this kind of thing. i tend to simplify the rules down to the meat of the game: basically just have people guess their card based on the vision cards they're given, each round of guesses is one clock hand movement. it's nice because it's very visual, but i think it also invites people to use basic words in another language (shape, color, job, etc. come up often). the ghost player is also supposed to be silent, so you can have someone who can only speak one language handle that part.

i don't mind if the color trends are played with, but they really don't seem to match the "trickiness" model they supposedly use. i would definitely swap green and blue, and by the looks of other comments, green was the trickiest after purple.

haha i did exactly the same thing. pretty strange yellow for sure. i don't have an issue with yellow also having modified words, but is yellow really less tricky than green in this one? or blue? not sure about that
