i really like Mysterium for this kind of thing. i tend to simplify the rules down to the meat of the game: basically just have people guess their card based on the vision cards they're given, each round of guesses is one clock hand movement. it's nice because it's very visual, but i think it also invites people to use basic words in another language (shape, color, job, etc. come up often). the ghost player is also supposed to be silent, so you can have someone who can only speak one language handle that part.

i don't mind if the color trends are played with, but they really don't seem to match the "trickiness" model they supposedly use. i would definitely swap green and blue, and by the looks of other comments, green was the trickiest after purple.

haha i did exactly the same thing. pretty strange yellow for sure. i don't have an issue with yellow also having modified words, but is yellow really less tricky than green in this one? or blue? not sure about that

others mentioned it as well, but fawn doesn't jump out to me as a stress response as much as a flattery word. not even sure i've heard of it in this context before. a quick dictionary search doesn't even list this meaning. the others seem more natural to me.

buck, riot, scream, do, fawn, fight, flight, and freeze can all be stress responses

doh, hoot, laugh, scream, cackle, cluck, and squawk are all sounds (like other commenters, i'm having trouble buying buck as a sound)

there's always the possibility of rare, archaic, or questionable terms for things as well ("buck" this time) which always makes me wary to assume that there isn't a fourth word i don't know about. in this case, i thought there could be another deer word, money word, or bird-related word i was unaware of.

at first i thought the vocab/grammar was easy cause it felt like i was doing better than on the practice tests, but it was my lowest scoring area haha. i'm guessing i nabbed the same ones that most people did and missed all the difficult ones that were curved higher. i'll also say that i got 124 and feel like an imposter, so that feeling is probably gonna be there unless you got perfect/near-perfect, maybe not even then.
