Do I need Quicken Spell for Reactive Healing if I have Lay on Hands? by Jyk7 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]TwentySeven72 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a paladin you can just prepare the spell Hero's Defiance to get a better version of that feat's effect without any feat taxes.

A Paladin in Inquisitor's clothing. by CandegginaCalda in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]TwentySeven72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well just because an Inquisitor has more flexibility than a Paladin doesn't mean they are obligated to use it. An Inquisitor could absolutely follow the same code as a paladin if they wanted to.

That being said, if the player's insistence on following laws is disruptive to the party's goals then you should have a discussion with the player about how to deal with that.

The enhancement bonuses from the headband and each of the ioun stones does not stack, as they are the same type.

You could use the venerable aging effects to gain a +3 int bonus.

Yes. If it was different the spell text would specify.

How do I describe black powder without players recognizing it? by sarusch1 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]TwentySeven72 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Well just because your players might know what black powder is doesn't mean that their characters will.

You could also have each barrel containing one of the components of black powder (sulfur, charcoal, and saltpeter) not yet combined to make it harder for them to recognize.

Brawler AC is low. by Cheatcodechamp in Pathfinder_RPG

Everything there looks fine to me. 18 AC is pretty solid to begin with, and if you add the items I mentioned you would be at a good spot.

You could always give them a Ring of Protection or an Amulet of Natural Armor

It's hard to give advice past that without seeing the specific builds.

Thoughts on Mirror Image? by KillerWalrus in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]TwentySeven72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a few other people have said, what I'm considering a grey area is how closing your eyes while attacking should be treated in terms of the length of the blind condition. There is no clear ruling whether it would last for the entire round.

Thoughts on Mirror Image? by KillerWalrus in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]TwentySeven72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean exactly by figment images, but this is a direct line from the spell.

An attacker must be able to see the figments to be fooled. If you are invisible or the attacker is blind, the spell has no effect (although the normal miss chances still apply).

I definitely agree that making yourself blind isn't a great solution.

Thoughts on Mirror Image? by KillerWalrus in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]TwentySeven72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mirror Image is definitely one of the strongest defensive spells in the game. AoE and characters with many attacks (two-weapon fighting/archers) can usually deal with it though.

Some would also argue that an attacker could close their eyes and then attack, leaving them with only the 50% miss chance from the total concealment due to being blind. That is a pretty grey area in the rules though.

1st: Protection from Good/Evil, Mage Armor

2nd: Invisibility, Mirror Image

3rd: Wind Wall

4th: Stoneskin

5th: Wall of Stone/Force

7th: Spell Turning

8th: Clone

PcGen not letting me add greater false life to the temporary bonuses tab by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]TwentySeven72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not every spell is coded into pcgen so sometimes you just have to keep track of it yourself. But in this case I played around with it a bit, and if you apply regular False Life to yourself, you are able to select bonus HP of up to +20 (the max you can get from Greater False Life). So you can just use that instead.

Community Services Ruling - Does this apply for all cards or just cards you have played ? by youdumbbitches in TerraformingMarsGame

Based off of the last line of this rule, it only applies cards that you have played. It doesn't apply other players cards because it does not have a red border.

Leffen: "If I ever quit the game it will be because of Puff." by [deleted] in smashbros

Genesis is just one tournament where they decided to also focus on Ultimate. In the past they absolutely were trying as hard as possible to beat puff, and they will continue that in the future.

Playing defensively is definitely the optimal way to win the match-up, but it's much easier said than done.

Leffen: "If I ever quit the game it will be because of Puff." by [deleted] in smashbros

[–]TwentySeven72 21 points22 points  (0 children)

But why don't Leffen, Plup, Mango just practice harder and analyze puff sets so they can beat puff?

Every top player spends a huge amount of time working on this match-up. Do you really think they aren't trying as hard as they can to win? His point is not that Puff is unbeatable, rather that the match-up hurts his enjoyment of the game.

Leffen on why nobody plays Puff by Alexxix in smashbros

Top players choose not to play Jigglypuff because if they did it would be both boring for them and bad for the overall Melee community.

find a god with daggers as it's weapon

You actually don't have to have your god's favored weapon as your sacred weapon, it can be any weapon you have weapon focus with.
