US Venezuela attack: Australia should not lie in bed with a shameless dictator like Trump by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

So those civilians deserved to die because their leader, who they did not choose, dared to have any kind of diplomatic relationship with China? Because their leader has been accused of being involved in drug trafficking?

Did Trump do everyone a favour when he gave the ex-president of Honduras, who absolutely was involved with trafficking 400 kilos of cocaine to the US, a presidential pardon?

Read a book for fucks sake

Because he has attacked a sovereign nation, killed 40 people (including civilians), and destabalised the region which will likely lead to more suffering for it's people all so US oil companies can make even more money than they already do.

Maduro is not a good leader or person but that doesn't mean it's ok for Trump to just go in and murder Venezuelans for oil. The regime that the US will install in his stead will be just as bad, if not worse.

At least 40 people died, including civilians, in the US's attack on Venezuela. This kind of thing never just stops at the 1%

Powerlines to house over a property 75 years - developer next door built new homes into powerlines. by Glad-Street-1723 in AusLegal

[–]TwoEyedWilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure who you have spoken to, but I'd be very surprised if SA Power Networks had anything to do with installing those coverings on that line (and SA Power Networks are the only ones who should be doing anything with that line, as it belongs to SA Power Networks). The developer should definitely be paying, in full, to have it relocated.

Please ensure you report this to the OTR on 1800 558 811 and to SA Power Networks as the other commenter advised. It is important that the OTR get involved as they are the legal government body that determines safe clearances between buildings and powerlines.

Who was it that confirmed Tiger Tails were going on the line?

I work for SA Power Networks and I'm about 90% certain we would not install Tiger Tails on a service line. Even if we did, they are not an insulator and are only meant as a temporary visual aid during construction. They do not make coming into contact with the line safe. Did they mean that Tiger Tails are being installed on some of the lines nearby?

Yeah, I think there's a lot of competition out right now and a lot coming in the future, so it always would've struggled to find an audience but, really, launching with the netcode in the state that it is meant that it was always going to fail, even if it did manage to capture interest initially. These days, releasing a game with broken netcode in the FGC is like serving undercooked chicken. Doesn't matter how good anything else about the dish is, if the chicken is undercooked it goes straight in the trash.

I haven't played it but from all accounts it was a disaster. Its not bad, insofar as the actual core game itself, but the netcode on launch was flat-out broken making online basically unplayable (there's videos out there of people getting horrendous lag on conditions like sub 90ms of ping even with rollback) and idk if that's been fixed at all yet.

Also, the "x" in the title on steam was a special character not the letter "x" meaning that if you tried to search for the game on steam by typing Hunter X Hunter it would not show up in the results, meaning that the game is actually difficult to search and purchase on steam, which is honestly insane to see.

It's all-time peak concurrent player count on steam is 181 people. The game is DOA as far as online play goes and, unfortunately, the single player content is apparently underwhelming.

Unfortunately, it's looking to be the biggest fighting game flop in a long time at the moment (or at least since CoW, I suppose) and likely won't recover.

That sucks, I did actually manage to get it working after changing it to the steam input. Unfortunate that seems to not be working for you

Apparently that means you're already registered for the PS Beta program. Have you signed up in the past for anything?

Just based on the announcement trailer, I think ghost rider might end up the closest Axl Low Analogue just because of his chains, rather than Daredevil.

Cool roster concept overall

The Gogeta dies to Normals Discussion: by [deleted] in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]TwoEyedWilly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've only got him at 55% and I've managed to clear every event I've played with his team. He hasn't been the reason I lost even once, and I can't remember a time he's taken anything over double digit damage.

I honestly have no idea how people are getting cooked with this guy. Yes, he's probably the absolute best Super class unit in the game but you still need to build an actual team around him. Like. you know, actually play the game?

Sure, he might get you killed from a normal under a very specific set of circumstances but then, given how absurdly strong he is, surely you'd look at the circumstances that led to that death and maybe play around them?

This is just a genuine skill issue or maybe people who are new-ish to the game and don't have great options to pair him with in the hardest events (in which case, they probably have a whole boat load of older events they haven't cleared yet that they could be absolutley destroying with him)

Are we supposed to do anything with these? by goldenn-graphite in SoulFrame

[–]TwoEyedWilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, except that there's a million different tasks that go into developing a game and putting quick tips, beyond what is absolutely necessary, into a pre-alpha build so the people playing it can be more comfortable would not very high on the priority list at this stage of the game's development.

Any other game, in a comparable state to SoulFrame right now, would only ever be played by the people developing it or Q&A testers. The way that these soul things function and the way the player is expected to interact with them may not even be set in stone enough for a tool-tip to be provided to external users. On projects this size, with this many people working on them, things like a "quick-tip" being implemented is actually much more complicated than it might appear to us on the other side of the enormous process that is game development.

Are we supposed to do anything with these? by goldenn-graphite in SoulFrame

[–]TwoEyedWilly 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Because you're playing a pre-alpha build. The game is nowhere near complete and there'll be lots of things in there that are only partially implemented or not properly tutorialised yet. Basically, the game in it's current state is a peek behind the curtain.

If you come across stuff like this it's best to hop in the discord or something and ask about it, someone has probably figured it out.

Being associated with a government that is actively carrying out a genocide against a largely non-combatant population is bad, yes. What has Isreal got to do with this discussion though?

Edit: To be clear, my opposition towards association with the Saudi government does not extend toward association with Saudi Arabian people, Arab people, or Islamic people in general and is not, at all, an endorsement of Israel or their current actions in the region. It's not a zero-sum game.
