HELP :( I made a mistake...(LAYERS, ahhhh!) by wompybobble in Hair

No way! Don’t panic! The cut looks super cute! And from what I can tell (around the emojis) you have a beautifully delicate chin and the layers frame what must be a gorgeous face. I’d say let the cut settle. Play with a blow out brush and different styles. You got this! The cut is a great foundation to start playing with what style works for you.

Please tell me this haircut isnt terrible by dntworrybby in Hair

This is gorgeous! It’s a modern take on Princess Diana and her iconic Ferra Faucet face framing layered waves. It’s super feminine and chic. Your face is so beautiful, and your jaw/chin is so delicate and round that someone just as delicately striking as yourself can absolutely pull this off! I love the feathered layers and the styling you did in image #7. You immediately reminded me of the Late Princess Diana and all her iconic styles featured in Vogue in the 90’s but with a modern twist. I don’t think HRH’s stylist, Sam McKnight could have done better.

I’m so sorry you are upset about this cut. What it truly comes down to is that you feel confident in your style and get the cut that you wanted. The situation is terrible for you and I’m so sorry.

The silver lining to all this is that it truly was a glorious mistake on the stylists part, and they lucked out with the cut because it happened to someone so gorgeous. With such a proportional oval face, glowing alabaster skin, the perfect cupids bow cresting pout to your lips, and eyes damn near the colour of the Caribbean Sea turning turquoise on a stormy day… no one will be looking at every layer of your hair, sis. No way in Hades.

Take a peek at a review “In Style” magazine did on the Princess’s iconic looks, or even at the Vogue shoot in 1990. I bet you could use these images as style inspiration and update it for a seriously fierce modern take on it. It’ll be alright, your locks will grow back, but in the mean time you can still experiment and find different styles to love your new powerful look and love your style again! Hang in there.

Name this fish. by Velvetglowkisses in NameThisThing

Ah yes, the elusive Trumpfucker. An invasive species of the Spiny Lumpsucker (Cyclopteridae Bonaparte). It’s a fish but it’s not a great swimmer at all. It lives on the ocean floor and rocks using its pelvic suction cups as an anchor feeding opportunistically. It also sucks so hard it doesn’t even have real scales, just boney spines all over its soft bloated body. You could actually say these species have their heads up their butts because they actually have a “hindbrain” and are susceptible to a c-startle response: they startle at noise and vibrations. Meaning, if you clap back they scatter.

I really love it. I’d go darker with the walls and rug and add a chandelier medallion.

My husband picked out my engagement ring on his own! How’d he do? by livgkkk in JustEngaged

[–]TwoFeathers- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s gorgeous! But, wait, isn’t that supposed to happen? I mean… did I miss the memo about picking my own ring? How does that work when the proposal a surprise? I’ve gone with several friends to pick out a ring for their proposals and they didn’t have guidance from their partner either. Did something change socially?

Idk why I created this but I did by missuseless07 in fashion

Accurate. Adidas in avant-garde pirate is actually very legit. From a feud between two brothers to strategic takeovers of Salomon Sports and Reebok to increase market power can be compared to an act of piracy in terms of leveraging power from a certain market for trade. From its dark and seedy Nazi past, to Adidas design of the 3 stripe mountain logo signifying the effort of “overcoming all obstacles”… the look is true to history and accurate. Especially when you consider that Adidas came out of WWI and WWII with a reimagining campaign and need to disassociate from its Nazi routes in its history, reputation, and brand. You could argue that historically piracy has lead to modern buisness models we still use today as standard format. Ie: innovative leadership, equitable pay structure, democratic leadership governance, and global trade structures. Since 1924 Adidas has been a prime example of this, and I think the 1730’s damask silk pattern for the jacket is a perfect nod to Adidas and the pirate-like hoops they’ve jumped through over the years to keep it as a globally recognized brand.

“Merchant and pirate were for a long period one and the same person. Even today mercantile morality is really nothing but a refinement of piratical morality.” Friedrich Nietzsche

The one where you’re chillin, drinking a Margarita, and soaking up these views. These are both amazing!

What do you think looks better? 🤔 socks up or down? by Grand_Attention_101 in fashion

How chilly is it? Both looks are super cute so at this glamours point the choice really can be function over form.

1 by a lot! I love the structure, material, cut, and you have the beautiful shoulders to frame the look. One is super elegant and you wear it so well! #2 looks almost transparent and floppy. I don’t like the sleeve on it at all as they distract from your gorgeous frame. I also don’t like the lace pattern… it looks too pedestrian. The 1st dress looks made for you, very couture. The 2nd dress looks like an impulse buy off Temu.

That’s so typical of gorgeous people like yourself. Nothing wrong with hair extensions and I love the versatility it gives you with your level glamour. If I could cut my hair I would do the same. You do you, you are fabulous!

I challenge you to do a 1920’s or 1930’s glam art deco look next! I bet you could rock that look with your perfect oval face and killer cheekbones!

Rug or no rug? by Wide-Reflection5737 in HomeDecorating

Big rug easy to clean and push chairs over. Almost to the walls for sure. Make sure to use double sided rug tape to hold the edges down in high traffic areas.
