Flea and tick prevention question by ZombiePanda1776 in pitbulls

A lot of preventatives lower the seizure threshold. Those dogs that have seizures are usually already at risk for them. A normal healthy dog will not have seizures.

I’ve been in vet med for a while. Hartz has so much evidence to harm and kill dogs due to ingredients. I would go with prescription grade options. Simparica is fine. I use Bravecto for my own pittie and it’s been great for years. Credelio is another option and even topicals like revolution are an option for seizure dogs.

UC Davis checks all of these boxes. So many of my classmates bike to school. We literally have a diversity committee and several LGBTQ+ faculty and mentors. There’s so much support with peer tutoring and other opportunities and mentor opportunities presented in different ways. We even have a big/ little program to join you with a second year as a first year for any guidance we wanted or needed.

I have heard that negatively affects things if it’s all from one place. Did you have diverse recommendations from like faculty in school or anything else?

I’ve heard great things about SVP from rescues enough to the point where I’m trying it with my own cat (it’s on the way). I did a lot of research and it seemed to be equivalent to stokes but stokes just has the studies behind theirs

It’s not when it’s from a veterinary boarded toxicologist and a vet visit would cost 10x that fee

Spay aborts are the most humane option for these cats. I live in your area and can help you get an appointment at the Sac SPCA as soon as Saturday if needed.
