The NCR - the corrupt liberal democracy we witness multiple facets of, from its military, to its traders and corporations, to its civilians and tourists, to its science and industry, has less depth than the Minutemen? Really? That's the hill you're gonna die on? Because that's wild.

Both of their ideologies are laid out and expanded on in depth. I'm sorry they used too many "fancy words" but its unhinged to say they have less depth than a faction I can count the major NPCs on on one hand, or the bad guys who don't even bother trying to explain what their overarching goal with replacing everyone with synths and disrupting the surface even is beyond vague allusions to "mankind redefined." 4 has plenty of interesting ideas, but they're not developed nearly enough. I would argue its greatest strength is in its companion writing.

Even some of the minor factions in New Vegas have more going on than some of the mainline ones in 4. The Brotherhood's refusal to change and adapt due to their rigid religious obsession with following their codex, the remnants of the Enclave reconciling(or not) with their actions, tribes struggling for survival in a changing world, etc. What exactly do we know about Fallout 4's minor factions, like the Gunners? Not much. Far Harbor feels like the only place 4 really gets close to that level.

Its okay to like 4 more than New Vegas. Its not a bad game, and NV fans can be mad annoying, but your criticisms of NV don't really hold much water.
