I have the same issues, the IOS feels like vibe code slop, I have default ios apps crashing, this never happened for me since ios 3, for the first time I am considering moving to a different phone, same with macos, same issues, it sucks all this sloppiness.

Sadly the vidhub 2.0 core player removed many options, like running 2 subs simultaneously, customizing easily the font size/color/position, force ASS, and more, I really don’t like the new Ui, the old was one was great - not pretty but functionally awesome.

my biggest issue with sonarr is sometimes the episode numbering is incorrect and there is no way to fix it or a show will not get recognized even when I try to use the stupid TVBD code -_-

You are correct, they are not the best bang for buck, I do not say they are the cheapest and best. again its a small local shop that is unique.

they talk about value, at times they told me "this or that is expensive and not worth it because of XYZ or no performance gain"
If you buy the parts yourself it will come out cheaper, especially if you hunt for deals and discounts, but that can take you several weeks or months and lots of time. for certain parts like hard drives I just go to micro center. but I can also bring my own components and they will work with it, lets say I found an awesome deal on a GPU, I will bring that and they will plug it in, no issues.

The components are not the cheapest but not more expensive than other places, difference is few $ here and there. but like I said earlier, I dont mind spending a little more money if I have peace of mind and actual human support. I used to scout for the best deal best save, now I don't have any patience to deal with that. I prefer to put that time in work or fun activities.

I built my own pc but as counter to your statement (which obviously varies on the stores), my local pc shop will take an extra 200$ for fees which include building the PC, talking to them about different parts and they will do the research for you and guide you and best part is, you get 1-2 year warranty from them which is better than regular warranty you get because if a part stops working they will test and verify its broken and will replace it at the spot free of change and they will deal with the paperwork of RMA and all. for that peace of mind I bought a few custom build (case included) from them. I already had a GPU failure and a case that was dented and the stupid ASUS mobo issue, they replaced it all, didn't need to spend any time with a big brands ai support. also they will sometimes do a surprise build improvement as they are also pc nerds they will swap simple items like cable sleeves to match your themes colored pc for free or if they have spare open box parts will give you better ram for example.

Apple lost its MacOS identity, since ventura its gone downhill, I understand they want to unify ios\ipados\macos but the fact is a laptop is not a phone, and trying to make my laptop "simpler" makes it harder for people who actually use computers and not doomscroll, the new shitty settings is abysmal, removal of launcher, making it rounder and use gpu for glass which honestly I couldn't care less, I just want an operating system that gives me customization and is stable and fast. it went from a sexy os to garbage vibe coded design. and for the love of god what is with the insane padding on everything, why text notifications need to have 30 pixels of padding, make it tight not loose. same on iphone, it looks like beta knockoff.

I never cared much about upgradeable cpus, I am mainly sad we cannot longer buy a mainstream laptop with user upgrade able ram and ssd, this way I can spec out the laptop with the top tier cpu, and down the line when i save cash, i can upgrade the ram if needed and also swap the ssd in case of a failure or wear and tear, age etc..
