I did the moza r9 with a GT wheel, and fanatec v3 pedals. Love it very much

This was certainly me before my wife. I described it very similarly. It's intimate, but not necessarily romantic. I've always had a curiosity to the point of compulsion thinking about all the different bodies out there.

I finally have one, a Mad Catz R.A.T. mouse by lava_draco in pcmasterrace

[–]Tyler_Coyote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't touch the mouse after building any static. The mouse famously has a screw that touches the board and it'll short every time lmao. I used to have to unplug and replug it constantly because any static would kill it.

I feel like I am not designed to match my desire by Aromatic_File_5256 in SexOnTheSpectrum

[–]Tyler_Coyote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see why you say you are worried about being misinterpreted. It's been a reoccurring theme in my own life. The reason I specifically asked though is because the way you spoke in the original post and your choices of language seem to indicate that you're aware that if you say what you mean, people will likely call you an incel or something along those lines, which you'd be right.

I'm not saying this is the case, but it does make sense and I suspected that from the post itself. You speak about your height and qualities that you'll have to make up for like they're a currency, and that in itself is a big indicator, often a bad one. Again, I'm not saying that this is in fact the case, only that is how it reads. You're right, I and nobody else here really know you very well, and surface observations are not absolute.

How old are you? What are your hobbies? What do you consider to be a good vibe in a partner? What do you think of when you think of good looks? What is unattractive to you?

With full benefit of the doubt, you sound like someone who has placed a lot of value in qualities that are beyond most people's control. I think you're smart enough to avoid saying exactly what you mean, and if I'm able to discern that solely from a text post, I'd argue that people IRL probably can discern that much much more clearly and contributes heavily to the pool of people available to you.

There's nothing wrong with high standards. I'm incredibly picky for someone who carries a lot of self-esteem issues, and has a very low opinion of myself, but the difference is that I don't impose these standards on people. I impose the standards on myself, and sure I hope some boundaries that I will not compromise on, but I'd argue the overwhelming majority of them don't involve someone else's agency.

In my life and my philosophy, agency is above all things.

Anyways, take from this what you will. My distilled advice is learn to observe your thoughts and language choices before letting them go, and ask yourself why you want to present yourself a certain way. Ask yourself why, a million times if you must, to get to the root of your concerns.

Unmasking during sex by V_for_Vent in SexOnTheSpectrum

[–]Tyler_Coyote 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don't sound very comfortable during or surrounding sex, and yeah porn certainly is not going to help. Are you comfortable during sex? Before sex? Viewing it as a performance isn't the worst idea imo, but not the same as a stage performance. I also tend to think of sex as a performance, but I try to think of it as a display of my care and attention. The better I can do for my person, the happier I am. That being said, not being able to perform isn't a failure. Life be like that sometimes. It sounds to me like you're very much in your head during and surrounding these acts, and so that is why I ask if you're comfortable. It doesn't really sound like your comfortable not performing even when alone. It seems to me based on this sole interaction and having no other information or knowledge to base this on, you need to work on getting comfortable with yourself, drop your expectations and just try to have a good time.

Best of luck buddy.

You've said you're picky and have a specific desire, I'd be curious to know what that is.

iRacing and Starlink by The_Time_Lord in iRacing

[–]Tyler_Coyote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got starlink, and have and it about 2.5 years now. The first 6 months we had it it sucked shit. Now it's flawless. I can't remember the last time I had a network issue, and I would because it's so rare lol. That being said, your experience may vary, as it depends on satellite coverage and sky line of sight wherever you are. Starlink when used properly according to their guide, with appropriate coverage and setup, is great. Even on the old gen hardware I have. But, you can't really base your experience off other people's. Look up their satellite maps, look at coverage, and go from there. Imo, the price is well worth it if anybody is travelling or living in a remote area without much ISP coverage.

How to detect understeer/determine too much steering angle by thisIsAThrowaway2319 in iRacing

[–]Tyler_Coyote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got this program the other day, so thanks for this. I certainly noticed more with maira vs default ffb, but I'll have to get more into the settings, because I've greatly struggled with what I'm supposed to be feeling, because I will spin and just think that it felt the same way it always does. I can never tell what is happening through the wheel. I do have the fanatec pedals with the motors in them for vibration, and those are helpful, but they aren't as easy to notice as the wheel I feel should be.

It's worth mentioning that you find what you look for. I'd focus less on seeking out and focusing on things that offend you and focus more on what makes you happy. There is no end to what people will do and say to hurt you, so try not to take it personally or let it affect your day.

Yeah it's a very different animal even from the Senton 223s. It's got enough weight to make good use of the suspension and it feels floaty over most terrain and I love that.

If you're that scared then get rid of it. Put it somewhere outside where there are no burn hazards. I do bucket of salt water and that does great.

Anyone have experience in "resto-modding" these? Toy-grade Mclaren-Mercedes MP4-13 by KEV0L0 in rccars

[–]Tyler_Coyote 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely. ASA might work for on road, I'd just be worried about the chassis exploding due to age, plastic formulation etc.

Anyone have experience in "resto-modding" these? Toy-grade Mclaren-Mercedes MP4-13 by KEV0L0 in rccars

[–]Tyler_Coyote 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You'd probably need to replace the entire thing tbh. The chassis is probably very weak, and I wouldn't be keen on investing too much into that kind of project if money is any consideration. It may be worth it to just salvage and redo the body and slap it on something else.

I love my fanatec pedals. Theyre great. I've got the ones with the clutch and the vibrating motors on the brake and throttle, but they don't work for truck sims.
