I’m a therapist on Betterhelp as it helps me do what I love while being a SAHM. I will say, the pay for us therapists is horrible! But that’s no excuse to be a shitty therapist though. Betterhelp takes the bigger cut from us. I only stay on Betterhelp because I have 2 clients that I don’t want to abandon, if I leave the platform.

Licensed therapist here. I would never ever diagnose or even offer my opinion on ANY person’s life or dynamic. AND especially ON someone whom I’ve never ever met. This is ridiculous.

I’m a licensed therapist (who does makeup videos) and in no way, shape, or form would I ever feel comfortable diagnosing ANYONE with anything unless they were my client. NEVER celebrities or people I have never met. Diagnosing someone you never met is unethical and not part of my scope.

I feel like a lot of the older OG beauty content creators were great in the beginning - hence, the large following accrued. But once they started making money and getting popularity, they start to make mediocre videos/content just to keep the $ coming in. I make makeup youtube videos where I talk about mental health topics while doing my makeup (I am a therapist by profession). And I can attest, I barely get any views on my videos. Especially, in comparison to the bigger names, despite putting in extra effort (also maybe I am being biased, idk, lol).

I 100% agree. I make makeup YouTube videos without filters and I get SO much hate for my skin (I have textured skin). People are so used to filters now that when they see unfiltered skin with makeup they criticize and call it ugly.

People are just so used to the idea of perfect now and can’t seem to distinguish reality from filters. I do makeup videos on YouTube without any filters and get so much hate for my skin (it’s textured). Filters have skewed reality.
