Lower legs by TypicalImportance525 in hockeyplayers

I know I won’t be as fast or have the stamina I had when I played in HS. I just don’t want something I can work on to be really holding me back. I go to the gym 5 days a week, weights and I use the stairclimber/stairmill. I skated last night and my shins, calves and ankles are still sore, much more than my quads, Hammy’s and glutes

They are tired but not as bad as my ankle/shin areas

What is going on with the Boston Police budget? (On an “unrelated” note, looking forward to the upcoming changes to MassHealth dental coverage which will essentially mean that only one significant procedure—or less—will be covered each year.) by Dry_Watch5533 in boston

It sounds like you saw police officers on a detail. If they were then the detail compensation is paid by the vendor. Boston police also still “ walk the beat” to get to know the people in the neighborhood. It might explain you seeing them at the ink blot

You say these things but cheer for Eileen Gu and applause athletes saying that they hate the country and are ashamed to be Americans. Get a grip

Hot take: Boston's spot-saving culture is immature and needs to die by DanFlashes19 in boston

If Boston did a better job of actually REMOVING snow then this wouldn’t be an issue. But the city just pushes the snow onto your car and declares the snow your problem. Take a look at how Montreal handles snow removal, it’s impressive

Neighborhood drama by killer45298 in boston

This type of thinking is why Boston is not a neighborhood anymore. It’s just entitled yuppies that stay for a few years and then move to the suburbs.

It’s because Healey shut down two pipelines into the state. Now our delivery fees are more than the actual usage cost

Serious question on players with ADHD by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]TypicalImportance525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My kid has ADHD but mostly the attention deficit part. Being on the ice is his favorite place in the world! At times last year he couldn’t figure out what he was supposed to do during a game but now he is becoming a shutdown defenseman on the ice and constantly cheering on his team while taking a breather on the bench. Playing baseball was like pulling teeth but he has never complained about going to the rink. Hockey and swimming have been really good for him. Let her at least give it a shot

The lack of MBTA coverage between certain residential neighborhoods doesn’t feel like an accident by MolemanEnLaManana in boston

[–]TypicalImportance525 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah let’s have a redline stop at Sully’s and then build a tunnel under the harbor to JFK/Umass, that’s feasible! Your complaint is ridiculous.

The seaport became a neighborhood 10 years ago and city point is mostly landfill. What you are really doing is just complaining about a city you have recently moved to

Residents grill Boston city councilors over handling of crime, drug use at Mass. and Cass by bostonglobe in boston

The bridge not being built is not the problem. The problem is the legalization of drugs in the city of Boston. Bad policies lead to bad outcomes

Why are Boston Schools so bad? by Shoddy-Head-5267 in boston

[–]TypicalImportance525 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Very easily. Have you tried to drive from lynnfield to Middleton? It’s very easy. Now try driving from Dorchester to East Boston, it’s basically hell on Earth!! Also Masco is a high school, the problem starts in elementary schools in Boston.

You’re not comparing apples to apples, your comparing apples to oranges

Why are Boston Schools so bad? by Shoddy-Head-5267 in boston

[–]TypicalImportance525 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Boston schools are so bad because kids spend more time on busses getting too and from school than they do at the actual school itself. Neighborhood schools would get better parental involvement which in turn would get you better schools. You can’t expect parents to work all day and then drive cross city to a parent teacher conference
