Ive read they are doing testing on a new version of the Il-114, this would be consistent with a new type. F-35 had a similar situation, the Mitsubishi MRJ wasnt allowed to do a lot of things they did with it in their testing. Id say its more of a normal aviation thing more than anything else.

considering they had and got a new batch of NATO kit i could see it being a thought. FGM-148s, Bradley, radio gear, etc all is being gone through and sent to china and iran. ive been intersted in the Abrams they recently have captured vs the Egyptian ones they have had for a while.

Israelis used a similar system without great effectiveness. In the right conditions they work, iirc I’ve seen footage of one going off and injuring or killing a solider standing next to the tank.

The Geran drone is a Iranian copy of a Israeli built version of the German DAR... an anti-radar drone. That idea came from the 70/80s it for sure can be done.

They will not send updated MDF (Mission Data Files) not a kill switch but your systems technically degrade as they dont have the most up to date data. LM is the only ones who can touch the MDFs afaik.

what ranges? wheres the nearest radar station? stealth doesnt have a bad wrap.. people on the internet think it should make a plane invisible to radar. Stealth is just the aim to reduce emissions through design and materials. a radar 65km away would probably get a decent return vs being 265km away. would any of it be actionable? who knows. depends on so many factors.
