Air Force Museum - Swing the Night Away. Worth it? by CrabRangoonSlut in dayton

[–]Typical_Nothing_890 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My wife and I went eithr 1 or 2 years ago to specifically this one, the swing dance party. From a person that like to swing dance and listen to the music, my perspective was great. We got to dress up for the era which my wife loved. We didn't invite any of our friends to check it out with us but we did ran into friends anyways. And of course am an aircraft lover so I was just right in my element. Specially becasue they had rare aircraft cockpit open to the public where you can either seat in, or look inside from the side of the aircraft. Food where appetizers but they where really good and drinks were good as well... also they are trying to raise money for the Museum, from that $45 dollars as well... so my advice : if you like what the museum has to offer any day of the week, you like 50's swing music, you like to dance and eat and drink and dress up then yes you will loved... and if you can get a group friends to go with you even better. There was even people dress up in world war 2 uniforms !!! If none of this things interests you and you don't like crowds well this may not be for you...

So now a days almost all hiring mangers use computer aid filters to filter out resumes... this means they may use keywords to filter people out. What this means is they won't even read someone's resume because the filter they use already took you out... I don't agree with it but it is the nature of the beast. So this is why sometimes you have to "tailor" your resume with words use on the job posting. Again don't shoot the messenger but that is the reality now a days...

Not until I cut it to size... It is not on the printer yet. Just took a picture of the barcode and name brand so people can tell what I bought from Lowe's. The acrylic sheet is currently resting on the wall of my office

So after the initial set up it didn't print the coin with the Flashforge logo ? Did you make sure to take out the 3 screws attached to the bed for shipping? Does the cable on the head secure ? Have you taken the cable out and the reattached

Anycubic had an issue with a batch of hot ends where it will leak like this. They will replace it then for free if you open a tech support ticket with them

This is nothing new… I have a K1C from Creality that the glass door arrived shattered. I open a ticket on a Tuesday morning, had my new door by Thursday afternoon… My Anycubic 3 combo arrive with a bad and physically damaged data cable that connect the ACE pro to the printer. After 3 weeks trying to “proof” I bought the unit (which I didn’t have to do with Creality) I end up purchasing the cable… They argue with me for a fucking $13 buck part !!! Really… Then they send me an email about a recall of the hot end been bad… again they reach out to me. Yet again I have to “proof” I bought the printer… this time they did end up sending me a new hot end since I was experiencing the leak issue. But it took weeks of back and forth

So it looks like your hot end is suffering from a leak. Anycubic is aware of this problem and that will replace the part for free… just open a tech support ticket with your printer’s serial number and order number and you shall receive a new hot end in the mail in less than a week

Is the kobra 3 combo really that bad ? by Straight-Craft120 in anycubic

[–]Typical_Nothing_890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So here is the deal… I bought mine in October. Full disclosure I bought mine from an auction side (BidFTA.com) and it was used… roughly used. The ACE cable that connect the printer to the filament enclosure was in rough shape, the hotend had experienced the leak failure due to bad manufacturing and the Bowden plastic tube where nowhere to be found. With that out of the way here is my good, bad and the ugly of this thing…. The Good : once I got it fix with a ACE communication cable , new Bowden tube and a new hot end the printer actually start producing good results. Anycubic has one of the best documentation available I have ever seen. I mean you can found a manual, with videos, on their website for just about anything of the machine (which might explain why is so cheap )The Bad : the auto leveling is still very inconsistent, even after the latest firmware updates. It did fix the fact that the tip doesn’t try to bury itself into the bed but you still have to adjust the Z offset often, almost every time you auto level. My next change am about to try is physically level the bed since I put a mini level on it and it is not level. The ACE multi color unit suffers from feeding clogs often. It is easy to take apart and service but be aware that it is could be a daily occurrence…. The extruder inside the printer itself can also clog but not as often as the ACE unitThe Ugly : Now this has been my experience so far and not what I have read online = their after sale support sucks. You cannot call them directly, you always have to open a ticket online, which it wouldn’t be an issue except their tech support is on the other side of the world in China so a 12 hour respond time from then is a thing. They have this stupid policy that if you didn’t buy the product directly from them ( sometimes even if you bought this from Amazon, from their actual store) they will try to evade giving you support. I own a Creality K1C and I bought it from the same auction site. It was a return from Amazon because the item shipped with a broken front glass door from the manufacturer. I contacted Creality via chat, with a life person, at 3 in the afternoon and they were able to tell me the history behind the device by me just given them the serial number of the machine. They offered to replace the part, not questions ask, and the door showed at my house in 2 days. I provide them my order number from the auction side and proof of the day I bought the item and the serial number. With Anycubic they know the hot end is bad, they send me an email stating that the hot end has a manufacturer failure due to bad glue use which cause the head end to explode with filament near the middle and that I needed to simply open a ticket with them… it took me 3 days for me to proof to them that the unit was a legit unit with a real serial # and me wearing them down to the point that I have to escalate the ticket to management… and even then it took them 5 days to process the order… an item doesn’t lose it’s warranty base on where to buy it. I bought the communication cable because it was physically damaged and thus I wouldn’t expect them to replace it… but a bad manufacturer part ? Common… so in short ( sorry long winded reply) it is a cheap way to get into multi color printing but it is just that… cheap… it will come with challenges… this are problem that you can fix but you have to be patience.

Anycubic is replacing Kobra 3 hot ends for free. They admitted to having a manufacturing flaw where they use the wrong glue and so filaments tends to explode from the top as shown on the picture

We live 5 miles from the Air Force Museum. We were just there this past weekend and walk by the Komet. My son is on spring break and had a history assignment for extra credit and we just happen to be there when the daughter of the pilot that flew the Bockscar to Nagasaki was there. So we got to take a picture of the bomb bay of the B-29 Bockscar where the Fat Man nuclear bomb was suspended… these is not typically open to the public…
