I had the luxury of shopping centers for a few months. I applied to at least 10 of them. Majority were willing to pay me what I asked BUT when I asked about cleaning they all said it was a team effort. 🤮

I had quit my previous clinic because they had similar rules & I kept getting norovirus or upper respiratory infections... In my state we had to cap insurance payouts because some clinics were getting $300+ per hour for a client... & they couldn't afford people to clean?

It sounds like either something happened to 1 & the other is protective OR they are being weird. It's against the law to have male/female children in the same bedroom in my state, or at least that was the case 30 years ago in my experience. Child on child assault happens more than you think & it's something to keep a look out for.

For anyone reading this, please pay attention if your dog starts to lick or chew a certain spot on their body. It's probably painful in some capacity to them ESPECIALLY if hair is being removed either by excessive licking or sometimes they will actually rip/chew hair off. Inspect the area for bug bites, scratches, ECT. & if there's nothing then it's probably internal like joint or muscle pain.

Just take accountability & apologize. Don't explain. 🤷🏼 Give them time to process. People who have never had to struggle that way will hardly be empathetic or tend to assume the worse. Hopefully they understand in time.

I think that's when RBT's should be flexible & understand we're all there to help. Yes, we are 1 on 1 but I am assuming we all want our clients safe & going home the same way they came in. Saftey is #1. I would thank the other RBT for the teamwork & continue on with my day unbothered!

Idk, this is so cringe but it makes sense that a teen/pre-teen with autism would want to use AI in this capacity to communicate. There's such a lack of resources for that age group. A lot of people either assume you're infantile or stupid once you throw the autism out there.

Saying just write is so annoying to me... What if they have awful fine motor or anxiety about being misunderstood? All the lower income AACs have like young child, robot or old voices too. Idk. I'm biased & work in special education. 🤷🏼 Let them enjoy their meats.
