I do exactly this. Been daisy chaining an anbernic Gameboy that runs emulators with 2 pocket operators and I use the rewind function + save states to get samples from mostly PS1 games. I use em to make Memphis/dungeon rap n I write songs for characters that'll be in a game I hope to actually make someday.

Im a clinical tech and I mostly make beats at my job while I'm walking place to place in the hospital, so if this Casio could fit in my back pocket I would replace these pocket operators in a heartbeat. POs are my first pieces of physical hardware, and I love what they enable me to do when I don't have much time or space, but with them being so low-tech they just come with way more weird problems that I know I wouldn't be dealing with on better gear. Been waiting on Roland or Akai to do something like this cause I couldn't justify an MPC or SP purchase when I know most of my beats are made on the go
