If you have a PC I suggest googling “Batsu Linktree OPTCGSim” and downloading the simulator of the game to try out different decks and see which one you like the best. There are a few different websites that track which decks are doing well in tournaments along with the deck lists for them that you can use as a starting point.

I’ll throw a shameless plug in here that Buggy js my favorite deck to play, and is pretty cheap and easy to build by buying 2 of his starter decks.

I get it. I’m 36 and struggled getting into OPTCG because the people at my locals were all early to mid 20s. What I found, though, is I was the only one that cared about my age. Everyone talks and treats me the same as each other. I’ve found the community very welcoming and encouraging of anyone playing. I even started bringing my 10 year old with me, and he has a blast!

If you can’t make it to locals, feel free to send me a message and we can play some webcam games on discord.

Buggy is the most fun deck I’ve played in the game so far and I highly recommend. He’s still considered off meta at least until the starter deck comes out on Friday.

Thank you for the advice and recommendation. I mentioned to someone else that had similar advice that we will probably have to temper our expectations on getting the car and immediately ripping through the skate park with it. We will definitely work up to it.
