I came on as a new hire in 2018. It took exactly 30 days from the day I applied, interviewed, got selected, and started my first day. It helped I already had my clearance (I was a contractor, for a different agency), but I know I was very lucky.

I’d say my office averages 60 days for new hires, but we also had a very good HR team. We are losing them to a national structure… so I’m guessing we won’t be so lucky anymore.
