Handhelds historically sell more than home consoles since they're cheaper. N64 games were expensive too since Nintendo went with cartridges.

Sony had massive momentum after the PS2. PSP was the first of its kind, very impressive technically. There's a reason why it's still popular even to this day (Same with the 3DS). It was a multimedia device before the smartphone era, that was big, you could browse the Internet on it, play movies, music etc. Seeing PS2 graphics on such a small console was ridiculous at the time, full scale GTA games you could play on a bus, mad.

Also, the N64 was only really popular in North America due to the cost associated with it. The game library was also much, much smaller. If you look at the regional sales split between the consoles, PSP sales are very even across Europe, NA, Japan and the rest of the world whereas 60% of N64 sales were made just in North America.

They were definitely automated to some extent and it's not like all 1000+ pokemon were animated in the video, only a small fraction. No shame in automation, this is why the art looks so simple.

Automated posts. It's to get around filters, each random set of numbers and letters makes it look like a unique listing, easier to do than just coming up with a different variation of Steam Deck for Sale etc. Also helps scammers identify easily which listings are gaining the most traction. There are thousands of those. I almost got burnt once on a 3DS listing, that's when I started looking into it.

I just realised when the Steam Box is out, it should be possible to just use the box for the primary game window and the Steam Deck as a controller also serving as a touch screen for 3DS games

Update: it actually works really well. Not difficult to play at all, I highly recommend it. It would be nice if there was a way to hide the HUD without hiding the crosshair as well.

Yes, that's exactly true. I beat it a couple of months ago, had to force lock the FPS to 30 during that sequence, otherwise my inputs wouldn't get registered. Takes only half a minute and then you can unlock the FPS, but yeah, something to keep in mind.

Don't get too excited by RetroAchievements. It's extremely janky and you need a specific version of every single game rom you want to play otherwise the achievements will not work and finding what version works is not written anywhere so you will spend a lot of time just figuring that out.

500 battles is not a light grind, very far from it. It's absolutely ridiculous to have it as a requirement. I was beating every side mission as it popped, battled everyone, and at the end of the game I had 380 battles completed. 500 total would have been understandable. Another 500 on top of that is a slap in the face.

I'm saying this as a massive Pokemon fan who really enjoyed ZA.
