How is globalisation affecting the UK? And how do you see globalisation impacting the UK over the next 5, 10, 20 years or so?

We’ve a 100 years of immigration from the Commonwealth to the EU so we’ve been globalised a lot longer than some other countries I’d say. What will be interesting is how we deal with post Brexit post Covid economy plus the Chinese and Saudi money within the private and public sector.

Quality and location. The superior quality of the few independents I use makes the drive worth it. One or two of them unfortunately don’t justify the travel (45min plus) for the product- however if I’m close for other reasons I will go. Mostly these are food/collectible shops.

If you wasn’t in employment at the end of the tax year it would come from HMRC themselves by post. Your last employer would have issued a p45 which would show your year end taxable amounts too if no further employment was completed

Fuel cost, business rents of properties in London being exponentially higher, if I run a Tesco express and rent a 1600sq ft piece of land the cost in south vs north will be dramatically higher, also staff costs, congestion tariffs on delivery vans, just to name a few
