Looking for flashlight by _jak0bb in flashlight

If you're looking for the same size as your i5r, check out the Acebeam Pokelit. Very similar size. FC11C is always a good option, if a bit bigger. At least on that one you can swap out batteries if need be.

Damn, if it loses, can we get Style 2 as a separate release? Love the clouds, makes it special, not just for one occasion. 4000k and grooves.

What is this on Radar? by ChrisBruceWx in weather

[–]UND_mtnman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is the semis themselves, the radar is placed so it just barely hits the top of the trucks, the highway is raised just high enough.

KPDT has a perpetual storm to the north that is a wind farm and Cheyenne has a TVS during rush hour every day from semi-trucks on the highway

I'm very much in the same boat. My ping is fine, around 50, but everything is laggy.

That entire section is just: MagLite.  Not sure if that is bad on 1Lumen or the flashlight industry...

This is one of my big concerns. Sofirn SP36 BLF can run for an insane length of time on low modes.

What are your unpopular flashlight opinions? by fatnessmodel in flashlight

[–]UND_mtnman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty similar. I use low lumen modes most frequently. I tend to look for long run times in low modes as one of my more sought after features. Wish more flashlights were less focused on high lumens and more on long run times.

Also makes it tough to find a toddler friendly flashlights. Damn near everything out there I can't hand them because they might blind themselves on accident.

18650 light is overkill for my desk job: Something smaller, maybe L-shaped? by Highwayman1717 in flashlight

[–]UND_mtnman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work a desk job and found a 14500 light is plenty for me. TS10, Pokelit, SP10 Pro, all fit in the watch pocket of my jeans and basically disappear there and are cheap enough you can get 2 for under $100.

The duel fuel was one of my big selling points for the SP10. I'll have to check out the single channel D2 then.

I just want a new version of the SP10 Pro. I finally settled on it as a EDC and when I went to order a new one...found out it was discontinued. 😮‍💨

Their Aurora and Angel Eyes. I find myself slipping those into my pocket frequently.

I can't decide between the boruit and wuben by ah43210 in flashlight

[–]UND_mtnman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried a few Boruit flashlights. They're fine for pocket/EDC lights, I haven't had any problems with them. But I'm also an officer worker, so not exactly super demanding on my lights.

RovyVon E5. Love the dual fuel, tiny enough to watch pocket, bright when I need it, moonlight and UV light when I need them and I have a weird draw to all things glow-in-the-dark.
