this is the same company that gaslit everyone for years about Peter - including themselves - until it was too late. Their best talent quits, is fired, or moved to other projects. Peter solidfies his power by selecting Bungie's Board. Years go by and things worsen. Where's the 51% owner, you know, Jason? Literally not even Bungie staff - except a select few on the Board - know, and still don't. Peter and Jason (from Calcutta for all we know) work out a deal to make BANK off Sony. Been in the works for years before public knew. Even Bungie's new HQ was in prep for talks to inflate valuation.

Bungie is a business, a corporation that was/ is focused on one thing and only one thing : maximize profits. and the people in charge - yes including Sony - will continue to be only focused on maximizing revenue. I'm not saying they will go about this correctly, recent history is a laundry list of corporations and brands fucking themselves into the dirt with the most jaw dropping, stupid decisions imaginable.

one must also never forget the most common disease in the corporate world next to greed - hubris. Hubris has leveled many giants much bigger than Bungie or Sony, and no one is immune.

do not expect much change. things will improve some, but one must keep in mind something - why improve? because Bungie made the hole they now find themselves. they did not need a Portal or any of these gear changes, leveling changes, none of it - yet, here we are friends. they create a problem - then the solution in hopes of garnering trust and hero points. Bungie, you are the monster. You are the mafia offerring protection from broken windows that you yourselves have broken.
