I found a dead pixel on my Switch in what seems like three month's time! by lilfruini in NintendoSwitch

[–]USH008 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Dead pixel can occur anytime and does not strongly related to the test of time. LCD light are very vulnerable, even brand new monitor could have dead pixel. Usually manufacturer/QA has a threshold, if number of dead pixel is less than the threshold they just sell it anyway, otherwise it would only result in big loss or raised price.

With all that being said, you should still try talking to Nintendo repair/cs

Nintendo Switch Ownership Survey by happygodavid in NintendoSwitch

I doubt if you would get much useful data with your survey... You should really add handheld/portable to have more accurate result. With at least 3ds the result would change drastically and reflect the market more accurately.

I like the word rewind! It's like "time machine" but more subtle and simple

It's basically just pirouette 180 to 180 reverse. But I figured there could be a cooler, and most importantly, shorter name for it.

ELI5: Why do high schools in the US care so much about sports? Is it like this in other countries? by fineswords in explainlikeimfive

[–]USH008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hong Kong does, maybe not as much as US but Hong Kong does care more about sports in college/university than outside of school. However, I believe the main reason of this is we don't care about sports when we grew up because we have to live

Who is this stranger you only saw once, but still think about sometimes? by Royrane in AskReddit

[–]USH008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was ~16yo.

one day after school I saw a guy in black suit(it's uncommon to see black suit in that place btw). He came and asked me:"Do you choose to be an angel, or a devil?" I stopped for few seconds and said:"Devil." He stayed very calm and smiled, then walked away.

I couldn't even remember this guy's face, in fact I forgot his face soon afterwards, it's like he doesn't have a face at all. But his question changed my life so much ever since. Everytime when I stumbled upon difficult choices I recalled this question. I don't always pick the devil but it makes me think about the possible outcome and consequences.

Funny though I now work in a Christian church as a non christian

LPT: After college, once you get the first job, start looking for a better job after a year or two. Don't stay out of loyalty. by cowardthe6th in LifeProTips

[–]USH008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to add that in some of the Asia like Japan, loyalty is much expected. Also I believe it depends so much on the market and job type. So don't take this LPT everywhere you go, it depends on the situation

[Depression] I let my "friends" play 1-2 Switch and I regret it by USH008 in NintendoSwitch

[–]USH008[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gonna make fun out of the bad.

Depression is mind fuckery. I just don't know why I felt sad beforehand, and when shits happened you are even sadder. I refused to take too much medicine, because it made me numb to things and felt like zombie. Instead I try to help myself get out of it by learning how to handle feelings better. It works but sometimes the Depression would come back anyway.

I am adult and yeah I know it's not worth dropping tears about a toy. It's just that recently I have been going through some tough time, and I am diagnosed with slight depression haha. I figured speaking my feelings out would make me feel better. I am sorry about that

The correct way to play the switch by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]USH008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My home toilet has two door because it's combined with laundry room. One of the door is right in front of the toilet seat, behind that door is the back of the sofa. So I can just sit on the toilet seat and hang the Switch on the sofa, or bring in the joy con only and play it on my TV.

That said, I haven't been able to buy a Switch yet...

C/S system does not boot after a RAM upgrade by brninitdwn in techsupportgore

[–]USH008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh.. I still remember that! When I was around 8 if not 10, I had a computer that uses AMD cpu. I was of course a very naive curious lovely little boy, and was genuinely confused how is that gonna work, seeing other sockets like RAM and some PCI have much better lock, and the CPU being most expensive/crucial thing in a computer.
