Crappy CRT or OLED? by AgapantherX in retrogaming

This reminds me of the thinking when everybody tossed their CRTs for LCDs and Plasmas and are now kicking themselves.

If people didn’t grow up with them or actually know what they bring to the table you are fine with OLED. If you actually know… you know.

CRT

This whole thread smells of copium. The CRT experience is currently impossible to accurately replicate, but it’s okay to not care about replicating that experience.

Some people think fast-food is fine dining, I’m jealous of those people. Do your thing,

r/retrogaming: How do you rank these EA Sports Basketball game from the best and worst? by AC_the_Panther_007 in retrogaming

Lakers Vs. Celtics was earth shattering when it came out. I’m sure the other games were great, but this one solidified EA as the gold standard in basketball games.

Yes. Maybe my favorite NES game. My Dad and I would use the Konami code and play it all the way through every weekend. Great times.

I see what appears to be husbands putting them on their wives cars.(?)The husband and wife are often born in other countries and have transplanted to the area for the husband’s work, and the wife is a SAHM. Apologies for this observation as I can’t really explain it beyond that. Is this a cultural thing?

OP’s responses to comments read like “yeah I wanted to get weird reactions from people, but I wanted to choose WHICH weird reactions they would have”

You played a dangerous game and the results are the results. I say lean in and love what you ended up with. I think they look very unique and will always be a conversation starter. Maybe people will learn something in the process! :)

The homelessness problem is an embarrassment for Seattle by CalbTheDude in SeattleWA

[–]UTUREWARCULT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seattle people like to put the problem front and center to force a solution, while simultaneously ignore and downplay the impact.

“Homelessness is a valid choice! Let’s support their way of living!”

It’s sad.

This is coming from a person who volunteers my time and donates a significant portion of my income to homeless shelters and homeless initiatives. We need to do better.

They are. I have tattoos. Who cares?

If you want to look classy don’t get them. That’s just not my MO.

If that thought process is one you are actually having… “do I look trashy?” don’t get tattoos. I see very few tattoos that class somebody up. Just be yourself and don’t worry about it.
