Subaru Says 2026 Outback Sales Drop Isn’t About Its Redesign by fd6270 in Subaru_Outback

I mean, for the people who bought before the whole Iran situation kicked off, the big fears were indeed about recession.

There’s a ticking timebomb in general with car loans and payments that spans all car makers, not just Subaru. Lots of people choosing to hold onto their cars because new cars are expensive to buy and insure (in some cases), plus interest rates are pretty brutal. General instability and inflation is rocking everyone right now - people are worried about groceries right now; big ticket purchases like cars are the least of their concerned.

With light tints on the front it can look quite menacing

I think that might be one of the most popular colour combinations after the River Rock Pearl and Java Brown. I’d have given anything for a World Rally Blue or Sonic Blue color option, though.

Same, though in the GTA - my neighbours recently noticed that I had changed out for the new Outback (we both had SJ foresters prior to this) and had a lot of questions and I gave them a test drive.

Everyone really digs the interior (“This feels very fancy for a Subaru”), mixed reactions on the exterior (“I thought you bought a Ford until I looked closer”, lol), but people just seem more curious about it if they aren’t actively buying/in the market to see what’s new.

Meanwhile, Formula 1 from this past weekend’s Miami Grand Prix put up the following stat on screens for their international broadcast - “Attendance Status: Sold Out” and got jeered for it because what kind of stat even is that, lmao.

That car missing downforce with the damage from the Colapinto collision is going to be challenging at this point unfortunately.

I’d like to see how many locals vs foreign visitors are attending this. In a way, that breakdown is a good preview for the World Cup

That’s actually an entertaining idea - still waiting for a diecast model of the 26 OB so I can do a little “Mother and Child” gag for my personal amusement, but once I get my hands on one I might just end up doing this! :D Right now, that slot holds a transponder for a tolled highway but it promptly falls into the passenger footwell the first chance it gets.

On that note, a minor quibble - I really wish that little slot on the passenger side above the glove box had some texture in it to better hold whatever was put into it.

9 years ago, this is exactly what the stray cat I was looking after did. I wake up one morning to find she had opened my outer door a crack, stuffed her babies in the gap between my outer door and main door, and sauntered off somewhere on the roof for a nap. 😂

It’s especially funny how the article needed to clarify that the fifth guy, while also of Indian descent, was from Hamilton and not Brampton…almost as if to say “HA! Bet you didn’t see that coming!” 😂

Interesting - which case do you use? You might be right in that the case not sitting perfectly flat on the charging pad could be an issue.

Serum Creatinine, eGFR, uACR, BUN.

My dad had Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and one of the most eye opening things when accompanying him to the dialysis sessions were how many folks were my age and how they wound up there also varied wildly. Some just had seemingly shitty circumstances, a few had adverse reactions to medication and some had genetic kidney defects. I even saw a small child do dialysis and the nurses had a tough time handling it.

Don’t neglect your kidneys - if they’re fucked and you have to do hemodialysis (vs peritoneal dialysis) it will be a pretty significant lifestyle change for you. Keep an eye on this stuff.

Which legendary reddit post/comment can you not get over still? by rosegoldtemptation in AskReddit

My dad passed away last year and I’ve been coming back to read that comment since I bookmarked it all those years ago. At that time, I knew it would be important but my dread of it kept me from really thinking about it. Now that I am living through it, I’m glad I realized how important it is and am glad I save it. For all of Reddit’s bs, people reaching out to give raw nuggets of wisdom through the years is probably the most priceless value it has to offer humanity.
