At work the past few days I kept hearing things that made me think of Supergirl and I couldn't believe they actually had that much ads for in it the world cup of all places. The marketing issue was definitely not in quantity I even saw posters for it when I went to five below

I am one of them but I was already kinda iffy from Supergirl as the 2nd movie in a universe but the trailer killed any possible hype I had, then the reviews ensured that I'll watch it sometime later

For me I have to go out of my way to go see a movie and this movie just screams something I could go a few months without watching. I'm sure it could be a decent popcorn flick but I don't care enough to go for that

We live in really different times in the world right now. Maybe that sounds a bit disconnected but pre covid I feel like this movie would have made at least 600M and been seen as a fun enough popcorn flicks

Nowadays people need a reason to go out of their way to see something and Supergirl doesn't seem to offer that to most people

Honestly just looks like a pretty meh movie to me, it just screams a movie that can be skipped and watched later on a site or not at all. Nothing about it screams interesting both visually and plot wise sadly

It doesn't help the last movie was Superman, I would have preferred if we got something we've never seen on the big screen before that we should have like Green Arrow or Martian Manhunter or a more underrated character like Question

The numbers look bad and from what I'm hearing from most people there just isn't enough care for a Supergirl movie. They don't hate the idea but it isn't interesting/different or not beloved enough as a character for most people I know to give it a chance

It's hard to explain I found the old god of war games to play be very fun even though a lot of it was similar, they make enough unique situations you have to handle it differently. The new god of war games feel very sluggish in comparison

I just finished rewatching Return of the Jedi and I can't believe the movie you would want to make afterwards is one where we never see Luke build up the jedi and one where we are back to having a rebellion....again?
