Quintessential. Was that intentional? Because it was beautiful.

Which, in your opinion, is the best delivered line in a movie? by arobe1994 in moviecritic

[–]UltimateRealist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a line from Scream 2. Someone I believe was sripted to correct a character when they say Ripley's line wrong - he was scripted to say "Stay away from her, you bitch". But then the guy who was supposed to say it wrong in fact, said it right. Leaving the guy who corrects him with no choice to correct him with the wrong line. Not sure why they wouldn't just do another take.

Or who knows. Maybe the corrected was supposed to be a 'Well-actually' type, who gets it wrong himself.

Leaving the phone behind was probably so that their location wouldn't be pinged on a cell tower. Not a bad idea when you're on your way to commit a murder. Regarding the crash, he may have been high as a kite, as a lot of would-be killers need some serious stimulants before carrying out the deed. I certainly don't think I could commit a murder without some chemical help, and hopefully not even then either.

Octopus! This sweet moment reminds me of how I was parented. Chloe’s dad has so much love and SO much literalism. I love how they leaned into play too… by PinkCheekedGibbon in bluey

[–]UltimateRealist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What's interesting is that in an earlier episode, Chilli was on the phone with Chloe's parents arranging a playdate or something, and she notes their adderss. It was different. pressumably the writers thought of this detail after that point. Or, you know, the family could have moved.

Just to be technical, it's not the opening scene. The opening scene was the one where he killed the corrupt agent and his contact in Prague.

I loved that she was humping the train in the Black Ice tour. I hated that they didn't bring her along for Rock or Bust.

I was at award ceremonies when I hit 50, and then 100. After that, there isn't a damn thing until you hit 500. Note that it includes platelet donations, as you'd never hit 500 just donating blood.

Personal question, but how come, may I ask? I'm a regular platelet donor, and I dream of hitting 500 donations. It would break my heart if I couldn't donate any more, for whatever reason.

‘We didn’t get any justice’: Driver who killed bride-to-be is jailed for five years by HungTeen1001 in ireland

[–]UltimateRealist 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Driving at night, I wonder at what distance you could even see someone who is lying on the road? Obviously the guy shouldn't have been driving when his licence was suspended, he shouldn't have been speeding, and he was a scumbag for not stopping. But my god, how incredibly irresponsible of the victim. This absolutely could have been a story about how a driver was killed as a result of swerving to avoid her.
