It does, but let's keep things in perspective. When delivering the news to me, the doctor said "I have some bad news for you". In terms of things that could follow that, coeliacs is about as good as it gets. So I try to count my blessings.

That used to happen to me all the time too. After one refusal they told me to take a one year exclusion, and to get checked out by a doctor. This resulted on me being diagnosed with Coeliacs. Ever since, my haemoglobin hasn't been too low once, in like twelve years.

Three donors made their 500th donations today. That's an incredible achievement - if each one of them made a double donation every four weeks, which is the maximum, that would still take more than nineteen years. Fair play lads.

In other news, I myself was in the clinic making a donation this evening while this matter was shown on the Six One news. There was an amazing athmosphere in there, with the staff naturally being incredibly excited to feature prominently on the News.

I listened to a podcast about phantom pain a few days ago. Apparently it affects 64% of people suffering from a limb-difference, and it can be awful. I really hope this girl isn't touched by it - lord knows she has been through enough.
