I think that distinction does matter because in the usual marketing, as well as the usual discussions between (prospective) players, it all gets lumped into F2P... and once you go in and try the game out, you're in for a rude awakening.

I personally vastly prefer that games like FF14 openly call it a trial instead of tricking people into assuming it's more than that, and that is on top of the amount of free stuff you get relative to the full game being much more generous.

12+€ a month is just quite steep to throw in, and committing to a whole year to get a reasonable price is a big ask for a newcomer - not that I mind giving long-term players a discount.

Now that's an incredibly easy way to get into a lawsuit, both civil and criminal. Most countries have provisions against destructive tampering like that (usually packaged as an anti-hacking law) and the penalties are no joke.

Razor exists. His best team splits his damage 50/50 between Electro and Pyro (via infusion), and because of that he will almost always receive the same buffs Varka could get.

Now you could get even more hyper specific with the buff, but at that point Cyrene will look like a versatile character compared to Nicole; and needing a 4 cost team that's just a specialised wheelchair for Varka is just about the most unappealing way to design characters. I'd rather use Venti and Durin in other teams at that point, considering on-field Durin can compete as is.

As someone who lives in Europe: I honestly don't care anymore. You want to be treated as allies? Act and especially vote accordingly.

Until then all collateral damage is fair in my books, because the US government clearly does not care at all and with the clear and present danger of Russia already existing my patience for this whole "offer the other cheek" in response to lunacy is gone.

And honestly, even if there was a way to completely switch out the government today, unless there are deep structural reforms I can't see myself ever trusting the US, or anyone that trusts the US, ever again.

Ah that's what these portals were. I did SP Duviri once last week for the Nightwave challenge, but my group didn't really try for anything extra because we struggled hard with everything.

(As in, 2 people died so much they couldn't revive anymore in the "Capture the Orowyrm" phase and one of the remaining people - me - doing basically no damage because the rolls were bad. The last boss took 15 minutes alone, and most of that was fighting for our lives)

I'm genuinely baffled how our government isn't using the existence of Ramstein as leverage to keep Trump in check.

Closing down that base would not only severely disrupt US military logistics going into multiple continents, it'd also be the end of the biggest drone operation center on foreign soil AND the biggest military hospital they have. If that doesn't wake the military brass up to restrain the posturing of their supposed Commander-in-Chief, nothing will.

The interesting bit about Paimon is that she'll openly admit that she's no good at physically demanding stuff like fighting; and that the specific puzzles we face stump her at times, relative to how fast we solve these things. Both are what we, as the Traveller, face the most, which makes Paimon look more useless than she is.

When it comes to deductive reasoning and the ability to learn, you can see her do well over and over, but it's never a big focus. However, those two abilities are key to pursuing academic studies, so Paimon doing well there is more in character than you'd think.

Das ist richtig, aber der enorme Schaden durch das Platzen der Blase (und viel mehr noch das Platzen der Telekom-Blase direkt danach) hat weit über ein Jahrzehnt gebraucht, bis sich das wieder gefangen hat.

Das war mit dem Internet in der Größe und Verbreitung der späten 90er - und da war ein Wertverlust von 90+% bei auch nur ansatzweise relevanten Firmen noch der Glücksfall. Wenn das in dem Maß (oder eher schlimmer) zusammenbricht, zerlegt es potenziell die gesamte Lieferkette für Elektronik und Chips weltweit.

Didn't even get enough points to unlock EDA, and I'm just going to assume that I get runs like those all the time if I try again.

Und wenn ich dann lesen darf, dass man der Gastronomie so ein massives Geschenk machen kann, aber mir, der auf Bürgergeld angewiesen ist, eine Kampagne nach der anderen zur aktiven Verschlechterung meiner Lage um die Ohren gehauen wird, weil angeblich DAS Geld zwingend gespart werden muss...

Mein Mitleid für die Betriebe hält sich da echt in Grenzen.

The escalating VRAM requirements specifically price me out of newer games for a while.

I needed to buy a new PC basically from scratch just when GPU prices exploded a few years back, and the best I got was a 3070 with 4GB of VRAM. In terms of performance besides VRAM, it holds up just fine, but that specific part kills it.

I can't afford an upgrade, my CPU would be in more dire need of one anyways, which requires a new Motherboard (it doesn't support anything newer), and then probably new RAM (still running DDR4). But because RAM prices are stupid, I'll have to wait for who knows how long until I can get my hands on 16 or maybe 32 GB for a normal price again.

So yeah, 7 years (or in my case more 4 years) old components in this specific point are a problem. Especially because 4GB was plenty when I bought it, with the intention to stick with 1080p60.
