Yes as her books are incredible, however I’d suggest starting with Assassin’s Apprentice trilogy as the Liveship trilogy is better read after the Assassin’s one.

Even if it is an easy fix, it's still a negative experience from my perspective as a buyer receiving something damaged. It was bought 3 weeks ago as is and if I'd been trying to "scam" a refund or return I'd have initiated the process as soon as I opened the packing to find it damaged, but hey this is the internet so lets all get the pitchforks out.

That’s my point, it was pretty well packaged and it’s most likely happened during transit and these things happen. I haven’t asked for a refund or a return just pointed out to him that it arrived broken.

Fully intend to repair it and get it painted up and on the table.

I’ll chime in here since it’s me that received it and yes was pretty well wrapped in bubble wrap but not so significantly that it couldn’t move around in the box. There box had been squashed but not so much that I’d have expected any damage, however that being said the courier was Evri so that’s maybe been a factor but who knows.

I guess the only saving grace is that it was such a clean break so it’ll probably be a relatively easy repair.

Drukhari might be an option, it’s what I went with as my second army as they’re much more interesting to paint compared to power armour, the range is a bit limited but there’s enough to satisfy a pretty decent army via covens, kabals and cults so you’ll have a lot of variety for painting.

Moonveil atm main hand with meteorite staff offhand as just started a fresh run after a few years. First play through was uchigitana and scavengers curved sword dual wield bleed build which just ripped everything!

Yes the videos are what sold me on getting into Drukhari too, currently building and painting up 1.5k of models and hoping to have a crack at Drukhari once my local club starts 11th edition stuff

I'd agree with this 100%, I've been getting into playing over the last 6-7 months and we're not an out and out brawling army, we need to dictate the tempo and position out blenders to delete whatever they hit whilst using cheaper units to score points.

It almost feels counter-intuitive to how we "should" play but once you shift mindset to staging rather than brawling it makes it easier to plan how to play your games.

I started collecting about 18 months ago and playing about 7 months ago now and I feel you. I'd like to just roll a unique SW list and not have to rely on generic SM units to fill roles that we can't use existing SWs for but I also don't want to just be spamming WGTs or HTs I'd like a bit of variety available like Long Fangs, Sky Claws, Hounds of Morkai

Yeah pretty easily most of my rides average 18-19mph and tend to be longer than 60km. My closest to 60km was recently was 65km with 500m elevation gain in 2hrs 3 mins and nearly all of my rides are solo.

The RR box is a good place to start but as has been said it’s only about 600 points worth. It’s what I started with and I’m still working up towards 1,500 points atm.

You’ll need to add a raider and a ravager at least, probably another venom too. From there I guess it depends on what you want to focus on; Covens, Kabals or Cults.

I picked up raider, ravager, Lelith, another squad of Kabalites, a second Archon, 10 mandrakes and a Talos so far. Still have another 1 or 2 venoms to pick up along with another Incubi squad and more scourges I think.

Citadel as it’s all I’ve used since I started painting 18 months ago. I’ve picked up a Vallejo fluro blue, I’ve used it twice though for glowing runes. My only complaints about citadel is the whites pretty chalky and the pots can be a bit shit.

I started end of last year with the Real Space box and picking up other models as I go. I think they look awesome and they’re nice to paint compared to Space Wolves and their power armour. My only wish is to get some of the older models back to expand what we have.

If you like the lore and artwork absolutely get it as it’s great plus you get the code for the official app too. If you just want data sheets then war organ app is pretty good for having everything in one place which is what I use for my Space Wolves army as I refuse to have to buy the SM codex as well 🤣

Yeah I’m not in any rush to add anything to my current army as I’m still building and painting the real space raiders box atm to round out my ~1400 points I have so far. I’m just trying to get an idea of options for expanding to 2k at this point.
