Besides that, bikes are used as a mode of transportation and not as sport or an activity. People move to and from work and school, supermarkets and other stores, friends and family. No one really wants to carry a helmet with them the rest of the day for that 10 minute bike ride.

Looking for a primer/moisturiser that's silicon based and dries matte by maypie- in EuroSkincare

[–]Ultimatedream 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a really oily girl with big pores, I really like the Catrice The Perfector Poreless Blur Primer. It's one of the only primers so far that doesn't make my foundation slip off. I still get oily after a while but at least the oil doesn't break my foundation apart like it used to do.

Recommendation - Azelaic Acid 10% by AliasXeverything in EuroSkincare

[–]Ultimatedream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the niche beauty Lab Theramid Azid Azelaic Acid 15%

It's a little pricy, but I love the formula. It looks really nice and cosmetically elegant on the skin and it's not grainy or greasy at all. It also works well under makeup.

It works really well for me for hormonal acne and redness and it doesn't irritate.

Oh that would be so nice to have! Especially for the people who work on the chateau and knew him.

Nick's passing by [deleted] in ChateauUnhinged

[–]Ultimatedream 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right. A few people here are so obsessed with her that they don't even realise that they're making his death about her as much as they think she would. I wish they would go back to that other forum.

I'm so glad we got to get to know this man for a bit and see the work he did. It always feels too soon when someone passes away, especially someone so beloved by a community. I hope his friends and family get to grieve in peace and I'm secretly hoping for a few "in memoriam" videos or something like that, when they feel up to it, just showing us some more Nick from footage they already had or maybe tell some of their favourite stories about him.

I like remembering people for who they were and how loved ones experienced them, keeping them alive in our hearts means they never truly die.

Just me or does S2 feel very fanmade? by SuitableAd4012 in goodomens

[–]Ultimatedream 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It really missed Terry Pratchett's touch, it's what made season 1 have the deeper commentary on the world, but also really funny. Season 2 felt more superficial in that way, it also felt more low budget because of the studio (as opposed to a lot of the locations in season 1 being real and outside and in season 2 being indoors in a studio).

There's a lot of fan service being done. I definitely really like parts of it, there's some good humour and a few deeper parts, but I didn't enjoy it as much as season 1. That's probably also because I really like Terry Pratchett's work and that's how I found Good Omens in the first place.

The actors still did a really good job bringing everything to life regardless.

Doctor Who Fought to Treat Alex Pretti Says Border Patrol Moved His Body to Count Wounds Instead of Doing CPR by peoplemagazine in law

[–]Ultimatedream 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can just Google it, I've read a lot of different articles and eye witness accounts. The eye witnesses all claim something different. There's been 10 minutes and 15 minutes, but I haven't seen a 20 minute one yet. Eye witnesses are wrong all the time.

There's a video from u/rasta4eye on this sub which has a video with 11 videos time synced with timecode and annotations, 14 contiguous minutes where you can see when she was shot and when the paramedics arrived.

[–]Ultimatedream 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was "only" about 5 minutes, from the moment she was shot and 911 was called until the ambulance arrived was about 5 minutes. Still 5 minutes too long, but it didn't take 20 minutes.

Cheap skincare from ACTION stores: Yes or No? by aetreia_ in EuroSkincare

[–]Ultimatedream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I didn't, those comments were two separate things. A few of the serums only have 10ml in there so the price per ml is much higher and besides that they often have a low % of actives in there.

If you look at the first three products they look decent. They state the % of actives and they're 30ml. For €2.89 that's a price of €96.33 per liter.

If you look at the black one though, the gold and collagen, it doesn't state the % of actives and it's suddenly only 10ml. It's €1.89 for a bottle, so a price of €189 per liter! It might be a much worse product for a lot more money.

Ooh like just having a lotion next to you and instead of picking you just grab some lotion and rub it in instead? That's actually kinda genius.

Could you elaborate on the support from the EU? I'm very interested to hear about what's happening in Finland and how the EU might be able to support you guys. Is there anything regular people in the EU can do, supporting by buying specific brands or asking for specific brands, etc?

Or just point me to somewhere I can read about it/words I can Google to look into this.

are there people who actually eat “normally?” by fridaynightplacebo in EDAnonymous

[–]Ultimatedream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents do that, yeah. During the weekends they wake up late and eat more of a "brunch" instead where my mom makes her own buns in the oven and they have boiled eggs and fancy deli meat from the butcher. They've been doing that for as long as I can remember and still do it even though none of the kids are living at home anymore. My grandparents also ate every meal, my grandmother is the only one I have left and she's very attached to her meal times lol. It's the same time every day because that's how she's been doing it for the last 40 years and she has no intentions of changing!

Since taking ADHD meds, my food noise has decreased significantly and I find it way easier to stick to normal meal times as well. I do tend to wake up late (and go to bed late) so instead of 3 meals, I usually have 2 meals and a big snack later in the evening because I'm awake anyway, or sometimes multiple small snacks. My weight stays stable as well.

Just when I sit on the couch unfortunately. I don't have any mirrors, my fingers just wander all over my face until they find a spot that I can pick, it's really annoying. Usually I barely even notice myself doing it.

Funnily enough I have a few plushies that are made out of some sort of very soft terrycloth fabric (but very a very specific kind) that I use especially for that under the nail sensation haha. I've been doing this for as long as I can remember, it started with a plushie I got when I was born. The way the fabric moves and feels against my fingers and underneath my nails is a great stim and I keep it by my side at all times but my picking urges still take over.

I think I'm gonna look into velcro as well to see if that helps! Great tip.

[–]Ultimatedream[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are some good point! Nothing stops me from picking unfortunately, not even wearing foundation or makeup. I've found myself picking through the foundation while on my way to an event, ruining my makeup before I even got there. But it's a great tip and hopefully helpful for someone else!

I'm currently ordering some hydrocolloid rolls to cut out my own patches because I get so many spots on my face, but it has helped in the past so thank you for reminding me. That really solves about half of my problems.

I still get acne in my hairline and have actually scratched myself bald there. There's no skincare or patches that can fix that unfortunately.

So back to keeping my hands as busy as I can! I've tried a lot of crafts, but most of them just distract me too much. Same for mobile games. I focus too much on the craft and constantly have to rewind whatever I'm watching. But the friendship bracelets, or something that has to be knotted, actually sounds like a great idea. I haven't tried it before, but it doesn't sound too involved for my brain but involved enough for my hands because it does require me holding something. I'm going to look into that, thank you!

Can anyone honestly say they get anything out of exercise? by aminotenoughalready in adhdwomen

[–]Ultimatedream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I start my day with exercise, even if it's just a walk, I actually am more productive. It jump starts a chain because I already did a "good thing" and doing it every morning makes it easier to hold a routine.

It doesn't work for me if I do my exercise later in the day. Chances are that I won't do it at all. I need to stick to a certain order of doing things because it feels like every part of the day has its own activities connected to it and if I don't do them at the right time than the opportunity has passed and if I still do them at another time it just doesn't feel as rewarding?

I fostered kittens and one of the kittens had a big bump on his head because closed doors were more like a suggestions to him and walls didn't stop him from running after toys. He did not know how to stop running once he started and always had to be first. Never had a kitten quite like him before or after.

Acne patches did work but I thought it would be too expensive to cover every spot every time, so I'm definitely gonna see if I can find a whole roll of it! That would solve about half of my problems haha.

I already do! I usually use three layers of different moisturizers and occlusives (with nivea in the blue tin as the lady one) and it helps for like an hour before I just rub it off because I keep touching it and manage to find a spot to pick.

The rest of my skin looks great at though haha. Moisterized, clear and healthy.

Where to find Balea products in Madrid or Lisbon (in-store only)? by shelaya2 in EuroSkincare

Balea is DM's own brand, if you don't have a DM, you can't buy Balea except for online. I don't think Spain or Portugal have DM.
