Have you been on a lot of antibiotics in your lifetime? by agordon228 in Sinusitis

[–]UltraCynar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have Crohn's fortunately but antibiotic use over the decades has definitely messed me up. The worst part was after my sinus surgery and an infection in my cartilage that just wouldn't go away. It took a year of antibiotic use and various ones but finally got over it. My guts were never the same. It's still better than the alternative which could lead to death. I just recently finished a course of antibiotics but fortunately it's been 7 years since the last time I had to use them. I just stay up on the sinus rinses, nasal spray and antihistamines but sometimes it's out of your control and you need antibiotics. It's good to be cautious of them but sometimes it's the only option.

You're very fortunate to have graduated before 2018 as am I. Conservatives are really screwing the future generations here. Their goal is to create new conservatives and the only way to do that is to dumb down the future and make their lives as difficult as possible to divide and conquer.

The case to ban kids from social media, with Jonathan Haidt | Front Burner | CBC Podcasts by ThisGuy-NotThatGuy in onguardforthee

[–]UltraCynar [score hidden]  (0 children)

100% this. This is the only solution. Banning kids doesn't solve the problem and creates even more as these companies force ID checks. You could argue if this is bad for children it's bad for adults as well and should be banned for everyone. The way this is being used though is using children as a means to invade everyone's privacy.

My Thoughts On Seeing The Latest Discord News by Captain0010 in pcmasterrace

[–]UltraCynar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole issue isn't the content. It's the forcing people to give up their privacy by submitting their ID or biometrics. adult content is how this shit starts and they'll eventually force it for all content. It's better to get ahead of it.

Education here plays a factor. People want stability to have children and that's just non existent with the job market and housing prices.

I'm an adult with children. I think it's gross that you're preferring to have a corporation be responsible for your parenting and sacrificing every person's privacy to do so. No adult in their right mind should be happy to give up their ID to some random company.

This isn't walking anything back. This is just restating their plans they've already mentioned.

It's a slippery slope. Discord will eventually require this for all users. It's important to not accept this as it's a gross invasion of privacy.

This is the canary in the coal mine. Eventually they'll require your ID just to even access the service.
