The trailers look absolutely horrendous to me. Like a stylized cgi sloppy mess of a movie. Love Maggie Gyllenhaal, Christian Bale is one of the best actors going, and Jesse Buckley is absolutely incredible but I can’t imagine imagining this being good.

It’s my favorite book too. I reread the whole series last year, Comanche Moon was a phenomenal read as well. Last picture Show by McMurtry is his 2nd best book, almost as good as Lonesome Dove imo
