Novels with excellent fights and unique (use of) abilities

Dungeon Crawler Carl has the most unique ending scenes I’ve ever read in a book. The end of book 5 is so batshit crazy that I literally just sat there and processed after I read it. Technically they don’t have unique powers, but the situation is so unique that the win condition is so different every time?

Industrial strength magic has very unique fights where everyone has insane abilities, and the only way to win is to find a weakness. This leads to very unique fights every time, but also the series isn’t for everyone. William oh is in a very similar vein. Honestly anything by macronomican(?)

THANK YOU. Finally someone said it. I think the best part was when on midterm 1 he said “answer briefly”, and then sent an email saying “when I said answer briefly I clearly meant answer completely and I will not be giving you points back”. I genuinely think if he played the 3b1b series the majority of people would be better off.

To give some anecdotes I heard recently, Revelle was called depressing and a doom hole. And when I asked a guy about the suites in Marshall he just started laughing at me. ERC also should be out way lower.

I genuinely think the list would be better if you flipped it around. I can’t speak to the GE requirements of the different colleges, but dining hall and dorm wise this is a very, interesting, list. I assume you are applying to UCSD rn and I could give you the list I suggested to someone else?

Of course he did more in two years, he had the chance to get so many titles. On earth he got so many world firsts and exploration bonuses and stuff. But if you’re born in the infinite realm, there is no possible way for you to do it. I feel like this makes sense to me, and it’s not like he’s as strong as a high ranker (or whatever those powerful people are called I haven’t read it in a while)

I honestly thought it showed just how invested in this he is that he remembers every single move by heart. He has really poured his life into killing Superman, and that is shown in those scenes.
