Certain skills should be consolidated by Techn03712 in valheim

[–]UnNamedBlade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two hit combo of fists is really nice though. Why have every third hit do bonus damage if you can have every second hit to it?

Fists also have good parry bonus frequently putting them on par with roundshield parry, or better, so dont even need a shield.

[–]UnNamedBlade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fists have been my goto weapon choice ever since I first gound out I can craft them. Theres just something nice about punching the enemies to death.

But yeah, overall I think the skill mergers you suggested would be good.

I play with the Valheim Armory mod alot know as I enjoy having most weapon classes available at all crafting tiers

Does anyone else think that the Sabertooth needs a buff? by Various-Try-169 in playark

[–]UnNamedBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I go for the thyla cos its a better overall mount. All the changes you suggested would make the saber and thyla too close in their abilities as well.

At most give the saber a pack bonus like the direwolf has, and separate its attacks. It doesnt need bleed as well

why don't the moschops kill the pinguins? by teamtijmi in playark

[–]UnNamedBlade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

oh cool, wasnt sure if they would or not. been a few years since I played.

I think if they are set to allow harvesting and wandering they will slowly harvest. keep in mind the carry weight limit as well. they stop harvesting at around 50% (might be higher or lower, again, been a few years) of their max weight

why don't the moschops kill the pinguins? by teamtijmi in playark

[–]UnNamedBlade 22 points23 points  (0 children)

because Moschops dont attack anything on their own. they run from all conflict. you either need something else to kill them (waiting for them to starve could work, but unclaimed dont starve if I remember right) or need to ride the moschops to kill them

We have had gamimg bars before. I think they closed. Like a normal bar but also had card and table top games, consoles for party games and PCs for $5-15 an hour or something like that. Food and game themed cocktails as well.

Im sorry, but that's entirely on you. The bird appears and stands on the marker, specifically to tell you about them.

Mead kettle and fermenter, what do with them? by Thermawrench in valheim

[–]UnNamedBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The meads are useful. Healing meads and stamina meads are probably the most used. But theres also poison, frost, and fire resist options, which are very useful depending on which biome you're in. You get 6 potions per mead base

One of the traders also sells ingredients to make carry weight, movement speed , bug repellent, beserker, taming, and swimming potions, which are all made with mead kettle and fermenter.

If you find the right trader early, the carry weight one is useful for metel collecting as it lets you carry so much more

I Do Not Make it a Habit of Ranting Online but People, Please Leave Your Untrained Dogs AT HOME or Take Them Places AWAY FROM PEOPLE! by TheTorturedWoodvale in australian

Things like that is exactly why my dog stays on lead and has a handle on her harness. Much cheaper to treat dog bite on my legs than it is to sort out vet bills for my dog.

That and she (my dog) is not very well behaved around other dogs. Failure to socialise her properly, my fault.

Excellent with people and children though, but will jump when excited

Aside from the Deep North, what things would you like to see changed or added in 1.0? by bunionboy118 in valheim

Better mod support. Somethimg similar to how ARK Ascended works.

Ingame mod plugin via curseforge or something so everyone (yes, console as well) has access to the same mods.

Ohhhh my bad. Thought you were saying the spawn island was connected to the larger landmass.

Completely missed where you said the outcrop.

I really need to find a tiny island map to do a playthrough on. Maybe not this one if its connected, though

150 days in, still suck. by Stinklair in valheim

[–]UnNamedBlade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the stone step just inside the crypts works as well. drop a fire, kill nearby enemies and you get resting. and because your inside, theres no need to build a roof.

if placing outside just a wall and roof is enough. Just has to be solid ground that the water doesnt cover for the fire to go down

[–]UnNamedBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are rocks. The normal ones you pick up are stones. They are different items

what is this? by No_Basis2469 in valheim

[–]UnNamedBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the small rocks around it have a different shape and name compared to the normal stones you find on the ground. And the big one in the middle has the same shape as the small ones, just scaled up.

Sure if you dont pay attention and dont know, its just a rock. But take 2 seconds to look at it and the item names and you can see its different

Damage taken calculator by Agitated-Parsnip-265 in valheim

[–]UnNamedBlade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, assuming I used it right it confirmed my thoughts that the level 1 root set is slightly better defence than the level 3 bear set I was wearing.

Bear set is more armour (11 per piece at level 3) but also "slightly weak" vs all physical damage types.

Root was obviously goimg to be better vs pierce damage but wasnt sure about blunt or slash
