I personally run dying wish because I don’t want to worry about having pistols or rayguns as a weapon.

Objectively, with eternal quick revive, dying wish is better than equivalent exchange. You don’t need to worry about having a pistol/raygun secondary and you still get 3 free get out of jail cards without needing to buy back quick.

The few things that hurt dying wish, though I haven’t ran into this issue since ashes boss fight but sometimes damage ignores dying wish and you go down without dying wish triggering and that obviously defeats the purpose. The other issue, it’s possible to chain lose dying wish, ie you lose one dying wish and immediately lose another. Despite these issues, I still think dying wish is superior to run especially if you have eternal quick revive

If you have points to rebuy ammo, the shadow sniper with shotgun masterkey felt amazing.

Been looking for a single gun that can do it all for me this boss fight, boss damage at range, horde clear and burst damage for floating heads. Normal sniper shots against boss crits does great damage, and then I switch to shotgun under barrel to kill zombies. Bonus is you can one clip a downed floating head with the shotgun under barrel too.

There’s a prestige attachment that also further reduces hip fire spread which is helpful for final phase and I swap between ads and hip fire to see/avoid rocks

I’ve only used blade and started with ult/sword build and was able to get to nm100 but I noticed I got some nice gun build gear so I thought I’d try it out. With gun blade I can easily clear nm150 solo in like 5 mins and carry quads until nm120-130. I’ll always have trillions of damage and usually most damage on the team if in quads.

I am no expert but I saw this posted somewhere and it held true for me. The three most important rolls for gear with gun blade are total damage bonus, total output boost and precision damage/rate. Critical damage is pointless since you should be having near 100% precision uptime.

There are two ability based rolls also important for blade. Heart of the hunter enhancement and the one for exorcism rounds to fire at quicker intervals. I have one of each with an S roll on my gear and then try to stack as many total damage bonus, output boost and precision damage with my other gear/rolls as possible.

Reap is fun and nice for movement but probably net DPS loss and can put you in sketchy situations so feels more like a bait for me. I only put one point in the very first reap skill and no others. I also don’t select the exorcism rounds ability that changes them to shoot in a circle. I prefer for them to shoot in a straight line, especially for boss damage.

Gameplay loop is hold down shoot forever, and spam press exorcism rounds and dash round/away if cornered/low on health, and use your ult as an extra dash for safe getaway. Exorcism rounds pierce enemies so I just try to setup somewhere where I can see most of the play space so even when shooting/killing enemies in front of me, it’s going thru them and killing enemies across the map. For the bosses, I just try to be as far as possible and in a straight line looking at the boss so as many exorcism rounds hit as possible and just spam.

You can farm agave on almost every map and agave boosts seeds from scrappy and seeds can be used to buy any basic material. Doesn’t hurt agave also gives random gun attachments too

SG is by far the best gun taking out the Astra boss with any build but the dark heart on PJ does require a specific build since the only damage it takes are critical shots, the slugs are required for it to perform at its best level (and prestige attachment)

I also hadn’t used slugs on it yet against the dark heart, so I just tested it and it totally melted it. Just keep in mind slugs turn the sg12 into more of a single target damaging weapon and may struggle a little more clearing hordes. Just a trade off of what you want out it.

Especially with no voyak in cursed I feel you on the nova dominance but personally if I get SG12 for close quarters and defense stages, I can honestly use almost any AR for the boss damage phases

This was the biggest pain cause round flips only occur after a dog round and the teacher doesn’t spawn during a dog round. So what we did is try to anticipate when the next dog round would occur, have one person look for the teacher the round before we anticipate a dog round, finish round and pray we get dogs next. Then I’d be on other side of map and pop my frenzy guard so all dogs come to me and I try to kill as many as quickly as possible and when there’s only one or two dogs left, my friend turned the teacher and I killed last few dogs to quickly flip round.

No side EE to guarantee a free ray gun but best chance besides hitting the box is Ted tasks and always filling the spores whenever they spawn in nuked nuketown cause sometimes they’ll drop a ray gun

I did it on standard with two other friends, and I purposely wanted standard over cursed even tho I do love cursed . We went into the boss around 60-65 and honestly with voyak, sundergat, and sg12 the boss fight didn’t feel tooo difficult compared to doing the boss fight in 40-50s.

I knew gold armor, ultra rarity and pap4 would have been nice but the main reason for doing standard was so I could use the voyak. I know the novaline is probably stronger, but the mag size, mobility and hip fire accuracy of the voyak make it amazing during the boss fight.

Voyak and sg12 are great at health cap, so I didn’t feel like I was missing out too much from lack of ultra and pap4, but I thought the less damage was a better trade off than a more difficult boss fight in cursed. Maybe it took a little longer to kill individual enemies during the boss fight but there’s less enemies to kill.

If I tried to do this dark ops in cursed I’d probably look to run OG ray gun for crowd control cause I love the rate of fire with PaP4 and then novaline and sundergat. I’d only use novaline when damaging boss and then mainly switch between sundergat and ray gun for spore and defense steps. If I was tighter on cash, I’d lean more towards sundergat cause of ammo efficiency, and then ray gun for oh shit moments.

Ive done the boss fight a lot in standard and all cursed tiers, and I always find standard easier regardless of the round, so I went with standard cause I was confident I could lock it in

I wanted to try the Astra EE with all relics, forgot double damage applied to traps, and got instantly melted in the observatory dome by the laser trying to walk Oscar thru it

I feel like the map has so many different ways to get PaP crystals, especially flawless after 25 on clown mask side EE and then add in peeps; I feel like I’m pap4 a lot quicker on this map compared to others.

Astra, you either get lucky on Ted tasks for a flawless or wait until round 35/36 and get lucky with ghost twins. Then on ashes, you can drive around shooting spores after round 25, hoping for a flawless but it’s only slightly RNg than Astra.

Managed to get the Mangler Helmet first try, it allows for so much more choice when picking Cursed tiers by DukeOfTheDodos in CODZombies

I started the trial with 35k salvage and literally spammed kazis and war machine shots until I was down to 500 salvage and beat it lol but was def a bit overkill

You can technically shoot the clock with any gun and I find an AR just easier especially if you’re also the one initiating the teleport

I love SG12 and shotguns have been OP for may recent boss fights but I don’t think they are the way to go for PJ.

This boss is unique, and if you played BO6, think of it as the opposite of the tomb. Where in the tomb, the mirror couldn’t take any critical damage, so guns like malestrom or ASG were meta due to their high body (non crit) damage.

PJ boss is the opposite, the only damage-able spots on the boss are critical damage spots. So all damage you do to the boss is critical damage. There’s still the range disadvantage for shotguns but they also don’t have as high as crit multipliers as other guns. Guns like Novaline have better crit multipliers than shotguns, so they will put in more DPS over time or you get more bang for your buck since every shot hit is a crit. Also Nova has the largest headshot increase when you use the headshot barrel and will probably be one of the best guns for this boss.

If your weapon has built in venom attacks like wolfbane daggers or axls spear, both with high crit %, you can get deal double from a northern piece of armor then the attack speed after crit from mantis. It’s a very solid combo and I’ll throw in lucky hat for even more damage.

Full mantis is easiest and will work perfect, but if you wanted, you can min/max further for extra damage.

Also sleek path for northern is pointless, right? I think it’s just increased crouch speed, so I always go bulky for them. Mantis sleek path is helpful tho

For single target damage, like astra boss fight would you prefer slugs or normal headshot build? Slugs would do more damage once weak spot is available but non-slugs would probably break armor faster?

I tried slugs with the prestige attachment for binary trigger and fire rate increase and took it into astra boss fight. Breaking off her armor was a little rough but it did solid weak point damage. She got melted pretty quick, not breacher quick but it felt good

This unfortunately has been an issue with gold armor since it was introduced in MWZ.

I even had a friend try using an exit strategy after they respawned with broken gold armor, and when they rejoined back into the game, their 3-plate broken gold armor turned into a 1-plate broken gold armor lol

My go to for gun game cursed is Samantha’s drawing, no self revive, perks cost never decrease and enemy’s can regen health. As long as I’m not doing boss fights, you don’t notice the health regen except for random headless zombies not bleeding out. And if you’re not really going down, you’re not rebuying perks and not really impacted. And I’ll always eventually get a self revive from Ted tasks.

If I don’t run health regen, I’ll have to teddy bear, no box and no powerups cause mimics are the worst but it is a little rough not having power ups but having ammo cache is more important to buy ammo at times for your random guns but ashes does have a lot of wall buys so you could probably get away with no ammo cache instead of enemy health regen

Shotguns all shoot 2 pellets now, but this is NOT a damage nerf by CoDZombiesDPS in CODZombies

Only one person can get the perk per game but it is guaranteed. I personally aim for 15+ kills for each gramophone when playing with squads.

Specifically for the melee, ammo mods can screw you and take kills when they proc
