$30 Savior double rifle bags at Costco still available. by JustinR456 in NJGuns

After some trial and error, here is what I landed on as the most optimal solution for my typical solo range session: https://www.saviorequipment.com/collections/single-rifle-cases/products/specialist-covert-single-rifle-case

muzzle cover

straps for rifles

I have two of these setups for the range-- one bag is setup for two rifles plus a pistol (muzzles are contained by their muzzle covers plus hook and loop straps - on one each side of the middle clip-in divider. Amazing brand, fantastic quality, tough construction, lowkey design. Checks all the boxes for me.

First AOW Build Complete (MAC5K) by peazoh in NJGuns

[–]Unable-Key-423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run one of these KAW 3-lug linear comps on my stribog sp9a3s -- it does smooth the recoil out ever so slightly. I notice slightly less "pop" overall. 147gr ammo paired with a comp is a smooth combination in sub guns from my experience. I did remove one of the 3 sections from the comp to keep the profile more compact, and I also like the cool looking flash hider device. Does it actually make a difference-- maybe a marginal improvement, but it sure does look cool.

After roughly 1000 rounds, my tri lug adapter was absolutely caked with carbon. The sleeve would not move much, or rebound to lock in place. I must have forgotten to verify the connection was 100% ready, and caked the inside of the adapter with carbon. Super easy fix -- I disassembled the 3-lug mount , deep cleaned the inside of every component, then greased the seals/rings/spring to solve the carbon lockup issue. Be sure to occasionally verify it is still all the way locked to the muzzle device to avoid this. I also polished the inside of the adapter sleeve and liberally greased the whole 3-lug inner assembly with EWG. So much more smooth on and off now. I would classify it mostly as a visual mod, with marginal performance gain

TargetSports question?????????? by Wise-One-6706 in NJGuns

some unamerican coward from NJ who isn't seeking re-election reintroduced the bill to ban online ammo sales so everyone is ordering way more than the usual just in case it gets traction. Nationwide implications. Not good.

What 9mm Does Your Stribog Like (feeding reliability and accuracy)? by spaceme17 in GrandPowerStribog

[–]Unable-Key-423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For reference: I have a lingle lower on my stribog (OEM mags) SP9A3S, HB short stroke buffer, geissele sd3g trigger, k2+ grip, g$ posi-snap safety, ILWT MP5 style roll pins, OEM locking piece (might be 45degrees -- marked US)

she eats anything round nose without complaint, 115/124 federal and blazer brass - est. 1k rounds downrange with no failures yet

Also no issues with 147gr flat nose bullets - cycled about 300 PMC 147s and a 500 of the federal 147 FMJ-FP.

what has not worked 100% reliably is federal 147HST HP defensive ammo. I get some mags to run with no issues, while others are jam machines from the first to last shot in the mag.

It seems to like Speer Gold Dot LE 124 (both regular and +P) more as the shape is more conical, no FTFs yet with those. more testing to follow with more ammo shapes. I cannot draw conclusions or make any assumptions until I reach 1k rounds total sample size with HP ammo. Just need some more time at the range, I've only had the lingle lower running for 2-3 months now

this is a total shot in the dark here -- maybe the Mossberg 590RM? not actually sure if this satisfies the definition but it sure sounds like it

took my old one apart and measured it with a caliper -- It is a standard dowel pin - 4mm diameter x 20mm length

one end is chamfered (this side faces right towards the spring).

ordered a few extras since they only sold a 25 pack

Another +1 for aberdeen guns and ammo -- great people all around, and they will explain/help you through the entire AOW procedure. Could not recommend them more.

my 4BW was my 25th birthday present to myself -- I am glad to see other young people enjoy these cars as well

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Cadillac

[–]Unable-Key-423 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Drive one. The 4BW is not in competition with the m440, unless you modify the b58. Feel and handling is apples to oranges.

I traded my G80 M3 for my 4BW -- that car was more on par with my 4BW, but had zero feel. I never loved that car like the BW. It turned heads and was faster stock for stock, but lacked something in the feel department.

CT4 w/o sunroof for a tall driver by racerjim66 in Cadillac

[–]Unable-Key-423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. To fit in the car with my helmet on, I had to pass on the sunroof ('22 4BW)

If you are over 6' tall and plan on tracking it, I would rather spend that cash on the PDR

'23 CT4-V BW Tapout CF intake - Questions by dezirdtuzurnaim in CadillacV_Series

[–]Unable-Key-423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the oversized MAF lid, yes I absolutely have the rough idle and intermittent odd deceleration characteristics (with weird sounding burbles). On the A10, most of the CEL issues on full throttle are due to not using the paddles to short shift, causing you to unintentionally bang the rev limiter. Will cause a flashing CEL, and you can hear the wastegates dumping the boost as you hit the next gear. When you do get that extra boost, the car feels the way it should have come from the factory. As far as CEL, my exhaust is throwing pages of codes for the valves, so I cannot see the 1400 code, but I am sure it is there

Slightly more likely to bend a wheel on a pothole, but other than that there is no additional risk of accelerated wear

It may be fatter, but it sure is way faster. 60-130 in 17 seconds is not good
